He didn't have a better chance to do his work. And he did what could be done. He had visions. I am not german but the german fliers were in a very unthankful position with no respite. But in this mayhem Galland was thinking of strategy.... a true professional ....
First of all you can not make a Fighter Ace the General of the strategic war unless your only goal is to inspire and create the obedience of sergants or lesser beings. Whatever role they were to play is in the tactical/technique of warfare. That!!! Dear audience, does not make them GENERALS. At least Galland has some tendencies to .... while fighting .... thinking alot about tactics and on a larger scale STRATEGY .... I don't think he agreed with his superiors but if one of aces he is GENERAL.

Hier wird der Eindruck erweckt, dass es während einem Kampfeinsatz war. Der Motor von H.J. Marseilles 109 fing zu qualmen an auf dem Rückflug von einem ereignislosen Einsatz. Beim Aussteigen traf er das Seitenruder, was ihm wahrscheinlich das Rückgrat brach. Sein Flugzeug wurde NIE getroffen im Kampfeinsatz, lt Aussagen von Piloten.
ich habe mich noch nicht viel mit den "fliegerassen " beschäftigt , aber ist dir nicht auch aufgefallen dass ziemlich viele in "unfällen gestorben" sind ?
so viele motorausfälle bei so großen und wichtigen piloten haben mich schon stutzig gemacht. vllt sind sie ja durch "verrat in den eigene reihen gefallen" , wäre interessant das rauszufinden
@traxel14 Ja. Ich kann diese Angaben noch mal zu 100% bestätigen. Habe seit meiner Jugend sowohl englische wie auch deutsche Fachbücher gelesen. Alle oben genannte Angaben sind wohl wahr.

They even fake views of users to make them look irrelevant & everyone who displays a different view of history, unfavourable to the allied fake & onesided story might face restrictions too ...
Do you mind to share what the first part is all about? ... Maybe talking about the ineffeciency of the american war performance in general? Well, everyone knows that the US saved the allied cause with their fundings & supplies ... but that s it!

Galland war ein sehr guter und gleichzeitig "Verrückter" flieger. finde es sehr amüsabnt, das er einen zigarrenhalter im flugzeug hatte und sein symbol war das er imemr qualmte wärend des fluges.
das hatte noch stil! solche charaktere gibt es heute doch garnichtmehr!

I meet A. Galland in 1990 at a VA, USA art show and talked with him. A real gentleman. G. Rall was also there. What a guy. So sad, both are gone now.
