woww .. i loved this game in those days .. and .. well .. after watching your video i just felt like life aint that shitty after all .. thank you guys :)
How good was that ending... wow. Listening to the original SID version it's difficult to comprehend that it's only three voices and a noise channel, what an amazing piece of music it is.
SAKKISAXX- just listened to your take on this--AWESOME. Just not as AWESOME as this rehearsal- you REALLY NEED the violin. Have you had a go at the the Wizball title music? You should.
Right... 5 of those guys (plus some drums, so call it 6 unless the drums are synthesised) and the SID chip had 3 different channels.... Rob Hubbard was a fecking genius! (PPOT are rather good too ;) )
f-ucking-a !!!!!! i remember when i put in my score as 'madonna' and the score board was prgrammed to name the time and date she was in playboy!! haha ...god i feel old!! haha so is she! anyways ...brings back good times when u could copy tape to tape! xx
hey there I'm the violinist, and the out of tune kills me everytime.. still 4 days of having the music this being a first rehearsal and my god is that stuff not written kindly for a fiddle:P. this was one of my first gigs in London, what an introduction to this crazy city C64 as a jenre.. who knew?:p thanks for all the comps the ppot guys were great:)
OH yeah - and my sincere apologies to the other players who kick in with the other solos too! You guyz work so well as a team. Don't mean to put down the other players by cheering the fiddler so much - that song was just soooo designed for the violin ;) Used to set my heart on fire while playing the game.
This is why i really love the bit where he takes a drink - to prepare for it??? 555 I also enjoy the "saturday, saturday" bit too - that still makes me laugh.
okay, a rather old vid, now this since 2004, but its amazing, amazing, amzing. Sure, there are other remixes of the Monty on the Run-Theme, but most of them are "simply" remixed on the computer, with much techno-influence. But this vid show you, that you can play this catchy theme with real instruments. The boys of PPOT have talent, YES, much talent. And I hope they will play forever.
My God! I dont believe the violinist, what a hero. This is so awesome and they are all so talented. (esp. the violinist) Did I mention the violinist? Gr8 tune lads you very nearly eclipsed the legendary Hubbard, nearly.
Agreed, the rythm section is crap, even considering its a rehearsal. I´d rather listen to the original, much more insane... And a less stiff guitar solo in that one.
Wow .... incredible... please can you send me the violin notes? ,,, if you have any notes , thank you nircard@seznam.cz
