I remembered way back in College when my Master Dan Diaz of Tigers Hall of Martial Arts Cebu went to Yaw Yan Cebu school somewhere in colon street. Hayz.....we went there for a challenge with their master "i forgot the name" but sad to say they did not accept the challenge. And the very reason why we went there because they keep saying something bad about our school.

then how come they got scared when we went to their school for a challenge??? Sayaw ng Kabaklaan lang pala??? what a FAG

@cacayat: sorry but the reason why is because na balli na sya dati kalaban nya ung right hand studen ng sensei namin. Awesome, I am a Karate teacher in Ashihara (search you tube for Sabaki) Style and I think Yaw Yan is such an excellent style nmn. Its similar to Mano na Mano and it looks like the Mano part of Doces Pares. I'd put YAW YAN better than Muay Thai

Yaw-Yan fighters are regular URCC competitors. They win...they lose, it does not matter. What matters is that they are regular in MMA competitions and not just striking competitions.

Like it or not..Yaw-Yan is a formidable style in Martial Arts. Im both a Yaw-Yan and MuayThai fan...as well as other styles like WuShu and BJJ and Arnis. There is no one superior style :)

Yaw Yan hand strokes work only against untrained opponent. The reason they dominated Philippine tournaments is the lack of serious opposition. If they fight world class MMA or muaythai or kick boxing matches their hand stroke will be exposed. Circular hand movements in Kung fu were even eliminated by Bruce Lee because they don't work against a trained opponent. Linear hand moves (jab, straight, hook etc) are the proven method in MMAs all over the world, Kung Fu and fancy moves failed miserably

I strongly agree, in true fights all you can do is dodge, punch and kick..when you face an experienced opponent even if that person doesn't have any backgrounds in martial arts you will find it hard to grab the opponent's punch or kicks..in real fights its all based on instincts and on how fast you react
