  • AM/FM radio in a Corvair? Was that an option for the Corvair?

  • Although I liked that the car was presented, I found this seriously lacking. Not enough info on the car.

  • I love this guy! He's hilarious!

  • If you're going to compete against the likes of Volkswagen and Porsche, why not build a car with similar drivetrain? Genius! If Ed Cole hadn't pulled the plug on the Corvair, and Ralph Nader hadn't given it such bad publicity, the car MIGHT've still been around today. Who knows?

  • @Seattlecarnut I think the Mustang did more damage to the Corvair than Nader did.

  • @TheCynicalSquiddly Did it?

  • corvairs are the sheit!

  • To bad this guy knows nothing about Corvairs. He fails to mention that second generation is the first american car other than the Corvette to have fully independent rear suspension, a norm on all cars today. Still autocrossed sucessfully today.

  • The VW Beetle also used swing arm suspension in the rear. And only the red car in this video had the swing arm setup, the blue one (the late model) was updated and the swing arm suspension was gone. Other than that the video was very informative and I liked it. Especially the part about them telling Ed to go work for Checker LOL

    I myself have a '65 Corvair Monza

  • That's awesome... Wish my Grandpa had parked a 65 Corsa Convertible for me when I was born, lol.... Regardless... That is waaaay cool.... Got to be a hit at school... hehe

  • My grandpa gave me his '65 four door corvair. With only 20,000 miles. He only drove it on sundays in the summer! The day i was born he parked the car and 16 years later i was the first person to drive it.. Really cool car
