like your dad, my mom has had MS for over 15 years. it's truly heartbreaking how much it breaks a person down. thanks for bringing attention to a disease that is in desperate need of a cure.

My Aunt has MS. She was actually diagnosed with it on her birthday. Once in the hospital the doctors were amazed she was even able to move her lips to speak but she is doing all that and even walking around. I do believe this disease needs more publicity. Thanks for posting this :)

My mum has MS :( its hard to live with and its hard to watch her getting sicker and sicker and struggling to do simple things like pick up my little brother or walk up the stairs. It hurts but its nice to know that other people are going through the same thing and that other people (like the MS society) are here to offer help and support. The thing is I'm only 14 and my brother is younger and I'm worried it will take over his life :( sorry for just putting this all on here i know its annoying :/

I was 3 when my Dad was also diagnosed with MS and I've grew up watching him get sicker.

Only a day or two after seeing this video on P4A day, I went singing with my youth group to shut-ins and met a women with MS. I had never understood how bad it was till then. Seeing this video earlier helped me understand better.

When I was 12 my mom was told she had MS. She's been sick my whole life but no diagnosis, including cancer, ever hit the family like that one. Since the doctors have changed their minds and decided she has fibromyalgia a very similar disease whose ass needs kicked. Thanks Alex for doing this. I'm off to your bandcamp to buy stuffs. Everyone who is affected by this hang in there and make the best of today.

I used to volunteer at a MS physio group once a week & all the people there were so grateful to have the opportunity to socialise with others with MS & also the volunteers (mostly aged 16-18) whilst getting treatment, but we were dependent on funding from MS Society! Every year a group of med students at my uni do a Christmas show too. Last year, I was on the committee & chose MS Society as the charity we would support, which led us to raise £2000 ($3000)! my grandfather has MS and he's defied time i swear, he was diagnosed in 1980 and he's like 66 and still going strong, he's been an example for people with the disease and many doctors etc have tried out cures on him and none have been effective. i don't want to admit it but he wont be around much longer and he's in a lot of pain and it's just ugtykhujkp. don't like MS, no. good topic.

@ReeHagz There is no way to cure it, they aren't even really sure what causes it. There are a few medications that can slow it down, but they are expensive and the side effects can be really harsh, nor do they work for everyone, so anything that could help researchers come up with something better would be nice.
