who funds convoy of hope? they arent working for free. notice how the guy pointed out dominican republics superiority because they have resorts. resorts help few of the natives of that country. a tourism industry employs some, but very few. i fear haiti will end up being rebuilt with zero input from the natives. look at new orleans corporations and big money called the shots. the public schools and housing were shut down its all part of the shock doctrine corporate takeover.

It seems like TYT didn't go to Convoy Odf Hope's website and read their mission statement. I did. It's obvious the they are there first and foremost to pass out bibles and convert people to their evangelical ideas of Christianity. The aid part is just the excuse. I also found it disgusting how Jeff talked of Haitians as if they are barbarian savages in need of a savior. TYT really missed the mark with this one. A member of Doctors Without Borders should have been invited on, not this guy.

Ben talks too much, I'll give you that. He's not a bad asset to the show though. He has good things to say and is entertaining Although he should stop drinking before he goes on air. He was obviously buzzed when he did this show, the slurred words and repeated rants were too obvious.

What ought to be available in crisis situations of this magnitude is rather than giving one-time donations, regardless of size, you could opt to donate x dollars for x months.
