Hey Samer,

Music has a curious way of transcending all barriers including physical ones which exist between our respective countries; just like when you are in a spaceship looking down on earth- you wont notice any borders.

And if anything, it is an honour to hear fellow Iraqis saying beautiful things about this man.

Fereydoon's voice has been with me since my childhood and one doesn't need to understand Persian in order to appreciate his message.

Just a big big shame he is no longer with us.

Dear baradar your comment made me lil bit cry... and honorfull cuz not all iraqi people are hatefull we are..very tired and painfull people..but we always keep our spirit of our country IRAQ.. and we do think about IRAN not this current Iran but it made me always cry even the same thing happened when Fereydoun Farokzah was killed by the IRI murder all the way from IRAN to Germany and killed the famous persian singer Fereydoun Farokzah in Bonn,Germany on 6 august 1992

Indeed "hamshahri", indeed it can. I think a thumb up is in order and that is what you've received from this "hamshahri". Perhaps I was experiencing the same terrance as I always have, listening to Vocal General's revolutionary melody, one among many, when I wrote the original comment. Fraydoon's music is and has been for me a vehicle to time travel with for over thirty five years. Thus, my humble wish to find a way to celebrate his music even on the other side.
