Going to see Martin next week at my local college (which has a beautiful new purpose built theater in it ) so really looking forward to that. My husband and son saw him a few years ago, amazingly talented man.
saw him play this live at the barrowlands in glasgow... fuckin near shat mysel' at how awesome it was. it has become my mission in life to learn it. if it takes 50 years i'll do it... dibs to you mr taylor. a hero you are. a fucking hero!
This piece of guitar is enchanting !! In such a point as I made the tablature and as I began to learn it !! I shall post my rendition in about a few days !!
Thank you for composing Mr Martin Taylor !! And thanks for posting !!
Absolutely fantastic. I love the percussive sound of the treble strings. Would be interesting to be hear this piece without the muting "device". I like the 'jazz police' comment!
I was regarded as one of the best three jazz guitarists in Winnipeg, Canada...then a damn baby seal bit off three of the fingers of my left hand while I was clubbing it to death in the Great Seal Bash of '92...after that I was rated as the BEST jazz guitarist in Winnipeg!
If you like guitar work, I hope you'll check out my original song in the video responses! Thanks!

The opening sounds like am Mbira after that it sounds more like balofones or as suggested like the pans mon.
