Thank you for your help, I bought this off Woot on July 9th so, I appreciate your help.I only had one problem and had to call tech support because it locked up, anyway, THANKS
wow its a good netbook after all aybe i will get one what do you think? i should take one or its waste of money becuase i already have a notebook =3 give me your answer
heyyy... i'm going to buy one soon... but i just wanna know... as i'm a writer i will be writing on it for hours... do u think so it is comfortable enough to write on it for hours...???
It takes some getting used to. I think you probably can. I'm a writer too and I prefer a wireless keyboard myself I have it sitting on the rolling table you see in the video and I sit in a recliner comfortably and type. That way I'm more focused on what I'm typing than what I'm typing with.
Thanks for your review - it was interesting and informative and showed me exactly the things I wanted to see. I'm a very quick touch-typist, too, so the keyboard has probably been the biggest factor in choosing which netbook I want and I think you just confirmed that this is the one for me. I liked that you demonstrated things like that, as well as the settings for the touchpad - it's great to see the thing in use, rather than just having someone point out all the ports and things.
Super! That's exactly the reason I wanted to make the video. Those are the things I would have liked to have known before I bought mine. I hope you really enjoy it :)
Tell me something you want to do that you don't think you would be able to do and I'll let you know. So far only the dvd/cd thing but I've yet to need it ad I have several usb flash drives. I've made video using windows movie maker. I've watched movies, I've used MS office. I've played games on pogo. Anything you can do on any computer with these specs you can do on this one.
New subscriber here. Thanks so much for the review. I am planning on purchasing this exact model (even the same sapphire blue.) I plan to run Linux on it with perhaps a 20GB XP partition for contingencies. I can't wait to get one. Thanks again for sharing.
ah man, i got the 120 GB, with the 3 cell battery like a month before they released the 6-cell version. I wish I were more patient! Great little machine though, definitely worth the money!
you mentioned you did a system restore..... just wondering, are you doing it with a external CD drive?
does it have built in bluetooth? if so, how is the range? I use skype also and I use bluetooth headset with a USB bluetooth adapter on my computer, it works great that way! =)
The system restore I was talking about was the one under accessories. It took it back to the way it was because I'd only had it a couple days. I do believe there is a way to do a full recovery but I haven't looked yet. As for bluetooth - I don't believe it has it.
Thanks for your postings. I just returned a Dell Mini. Uncomfortable keyboard, and would get extremely warm. Looking forward to receiving mine in the black casing.
After just one day, I'm happy with the AAO. Much more comfortable to use than the Dell Mini that I returned. Many more features and 180.00 cheaper than what I would have paid for the Dell. The only kink I need to work out is with connecting to the internet wirelessly. I've had to unplug and power back on my router 2 times. Hoping to find the fix for this right away.
Right now I'm only using avg antivirus. I may purchase the full avg suite sometime in the future. There are a lot of security suites you can buy online and download. Also, CA (computer associates) has a suite you can buy on a flash drive.
Not that I've noticed and I've used it for years on my regular laptop. I manage my cookies myself with cookie monster. I have it save the ones I want and delete the ones I don't.
It didn't come with a pouch. The battery does stick out the back side slightly more than the 3 cell. If you look starting around 3:58 you can see it well.
Great review. Thanks for sharing!

Your welcome! Glad you like it :)

How exactly do you open it? Is there a slide or is there a magnet to open it?
KB24ts6 2 years ago
There's not catch on it. It just folds open and shut. It stays well shut without a catch, though.

Thanks for the review. Now that you've had it for more than 3 months, do you still like it? Is it still running good?

What kind of things can you do on your big one that you can't do on this one? Is DVD/CD use the only thing?
I was going to get one today but the sales person sait this was only good for web surfing, email checking and small stuff like that.
