  • My favorite argument from the bible that doesn't challenge the existence of the Christian God, but corresponds with the Atheistic and Secular morals (by philosopher Max Stirner):

    1. God is all &

    2. God cares about all

    3. Thus, God cares only about himself

    4. God created us in his image

    5. Thus, we should only care about ourselves

  • 2nd argument below... a very usual one to all religious people:

    1. God is absolutely good

    2. God is absolutely perfect

    3. God created us in his image

    4. But we are not absolutely good or perfect.... (that's why we need his punishment to do good)

    5. Thus, either 1, 2 or 3 is not valid

  • @SofozMc-Biblical Job would say all of these are not valid. :0)

  • @Specilum Late on the reply...dont you-tube much. It's spelled hypothetical. Obviously you do not actually know the scientific method very well or you would surely know how to spell hypothesis and the other forms of the word. Go ahead and go pray about feeding starving children and curing disease while I go back to my lab trying to find a vaccine for malaria and continue my philanthropic endeavors. You are obviously out of my league as far as contributions to the world go. So we pray, Ramen!

  • Been there done that, the book is a lie.

  • How many people have spent their entire lives searching and found nothing?

    Countless.

Why don't their experiences invalidate your book?

  • Quoting scripture at atheists. (face palm)

We don't credit your silly book.

I read it, it contradicts itself constanly, you're a pious liar. Disgusting.

Jesus preaches turn the other cheek, yet when he gets pissed off he takes a whip and attacks folks. He's a hypocrite.

  • Deuteronomy 22:28-29

I raped a girl, so I paid her father $50 and then told her she had to marry me.

Contrary to what most Christians believe, our judicial system is apparently NOT based on the bible.

  • So when we come back in say 2 weeks and say nothing happened, I couldn't find him. Your response will be "you didn't do it right".

I just don't find the story compelling enough to find it true. And that is the position of all atheist. For the most part I am fine with your personal beliefs. But your personal beliefs should not be pushed onto me or anyone else just because you find the evidence compelling.

Anyways good post (though I do not agree with it) and good day to you.

  • My brother, Specilum.... do NOT bother with atheists... when you posed this challenge, you posed yourself as a mouse to be pounced on by these non-believers... Let the Lord deal with them. You are a wonderful brother in Christ.. Keep doing what you are doing... Jesus said that we Christians would be persecuted because we believe in Him...the word of God could not be more true... Atheists are like the non-believing Jews of Jesus' time... they just WON'T believe despite the miracles... God bless.

  • @aphoenixrising11 Great point. Don't talk to unbelievers because they will kick your ass. Look what happened to my friend Jeff (YokeUp).

  • @aphoenixrising11 jesus blows dogs for quarters

  • @TheSmf4u Yeah, it's been tough times since he came over from mexico.

  • @aphoenixrising11 You sir are disrespectful! Atheists believe too...in nothing, its our right, and you've no right to say otherwise! (No it's not nice is it)

  • Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. I tried this and joined the Ku Klux Klan because I live in America and they were my only option of finding a way to enslave someone. Problem was, they almost killed me because before I tried this, I was atheist (while I still believed in Jewish values) so it makes things a little harder.

  • What really got me into stop believing was when a friend of mine, a very devout catholic who loved the Lord, was taken in a very painful, horrible way. What is so good about a God that never protects his so called children and kills the ones that are truly good in the most horrible of ways. Plus, everything in the bible can be explained through science. the plagues are a great example.

  • @rbiolden The idea of God, the concept, gives strength to people who are weak. The Bible gives comfort to those who grieve and hope to the ones left behind. Not everything in the bible can be explained by science, I suggest reading the gospels. The things that can be explained by science just prove that there is something bigger than you or me. If what is said in the Bible is fact, you should be glad your friend was a Catholic, because they are with their Maker and they are safe from the pain.

  • dude, you`re in the wrong hood

  • My debating team won by a landslide victory at the House Debates. We then proceeded to massacre the neighbours and families of the opposition members, and rape their virgin daughters.

Everyone else was like "YOU SICK, IMMORAL BASTARDS!" but they're wrong. The Bible says that God allows his followers (ie. my ultra-Catholic debating team) to rape the virgin daughters of our conquered enemies, and kill everyone else in their village. If it's cool with God, it should be cool with everyone.

  • What if i sought god with all my heart... and found out your god is not the real god?

  • as soon as people start to question themselves they become atheists but sometimes they are raised beliving thats not good to be a non-beliver(not my case but many people's case) i was a catholic christian till i was 9 but then i started questioning the logic of a deity and became an atheist

  • @TheMetalHoplite me too when i was 9 lol.

  • Exodus Chapter 21, verse 20:

" If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property."

I tried to buy a slave so i could beat them, but strangely no one seems to keen on the idea, i told them God was all good with slavery but that didnt seem to help much...what am i doing wrong ?

  • Well, everything in that book is garbage and a lie then. Because I did seek him with all my heart. Haha. You lose.

  • Seeking god with all my heart is like seeking Santa Claus or unicorns with all my heart.

  • Sorry dude, tried it for about half my life. I was sincere as all get out.

Also, I don't accept your false dichotomy of how either your challenge works or The Bible is garbage. Something can be fiction and still have value.

  • Is there ever any wonder why christian videos have as many down thumbs as they do, its because their faith = false.

  • wow...man, have you even read that book? if you really tried some of those verses you'd be locked up for life.

  • Been there and tried that for EIGHT YEARS!

Ultimately I had Moral and Ethical problems with the bible.

To claim the bible Justifies itself is rather amusing because Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Ill, Charles Manson And ANYONE can Justify ANYTHING in their own Head!

This doesn't mean they can Justify it to anyone else.

But Christianity is an Abomination to your God.

Proverbs 17:15 He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.

  • @JostleCubed uhh. No. No we dont.. And that's beside the point theres absolutely no solid arguments that god exists.

  • @soskid 6 I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. 7 If you had known what these words mean, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’[a] you would not have condemned the innocent. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”

  • @soskid 3 He answered, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? 4 He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread—which was not lawful for them to do, but only for the priests. 5 Or haven’t you read in the Law that the priests on Sabbath duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent?

  • @soskid 1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some heads of grain and eat them. 2 When the Pharisees saw this, they said to him, “Look! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath"

  • @soskid the problem of many people like you is that they take the poison of the bible but dont read the others one. You just know what you think is wise for you. Well exodus 35:2 says that but what about matthew 12: 1-8

  • @lizabeeth1 Yes, there are good and bad in the bible, no doubt. But my question is with what do we judge that? In my mind it's our inate sense of morality and ethics, necessarily evolved to be able to function in groups of people. So I think we are better of using that instead of picking and choosing out of the bible, or the quran, or whatever holy book is your preference. This is the religious question. The god question is another question. Simple fact here is that we don't know.

  • You claim that the bible fixes itself. Therefore, you admit that the bible was incorrect or it's message was conveyed wrongly in certain areas. If god had created the bible, how could mistakes have been made?

  • So I have a question for the man in this video: have you four god? Has he presented himself to you?

    You have 5 senses;

    Have you SEEN god?

    Have you FELT god?

    Have you TASTED god?

    Have you SMELLED god?

    Have you HEARD god?

  • @TheToober123 Actually you have like 20+

  • God = Love ..and the funni thing is ppl rarely find him in a chruch or inthe bible ..Are you saying via new or old testament ..my grandfatehr is a christian bible teacher and theologists ..very few things are applicible to use in our everday lives ..we must be relevant ...to kno the sacrifice Jesus made and to kno that God is not religion but a Spiritual bond ..some call him Allah some God ..the Universe the Creator ..He who is the Alpha and Omega ..there's many names for our Lord ..

  • Did it. Still not believe in a god.

  • it is garbage AND a lie......END OF STORY.....

  • Your challenge has been met. I've read the bible over and over and over and over. I've taught the bible. I'm still an atheist. Go figure.

  • @fdasherv One of the best ways to become an atheist is to read the bible. The bible is one of the greatest accumulations of nonsense ever assembled by man.

  • One doesn't get "doubts" about atheism. That doesn't make sense.

  • Then my daughter was raped, so I sold her to her rapist for $30. Not like anyone else will ever want her......

(Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NLT) If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

  • @krypekeeper 50*

  • found out my friend was gay today, so I thought " WWJD?" and after thinking for a second I did the obvious thing

    I stoned him to death.

    praise the lord

  • If you've read the Bible, then you wouldn't simply dismiss the contradictions that do exist. The amount of exegesis (and debate) over the nature of various verses is enough to convince me that the Bible is the work of men, not God. The idea of God itself is flawed, so with that, it's quite easy to disregard the rest. BTW, I have read the Bible.

  • I read the bible. I don't kill gays or murder men because they don't worship the same. I chose to not believe in this story. I cannot for the life of me see how it would continue to do anything but prohibit the advancement of humans. I care not about contradictions that Google can find. I was appalled by the horrible content that the bible encourages man to do. It is wrong and I believe it is wrong to just cherry pick what you want out of it and ignore the rest of the voodoo magic murdering.

  • Quoting a book wrote by man 2000 years ago and then scribed by many many many languages to the current wording today, does not make it anything but a novel! Your challenge does not work on strong people, it only works on weak minded, stressed and mentally ill people who are easily taken by the spin on words given on sunday!

  • I took your challenge; I guess the bible is full of rubbish then; just like you

  • @ezra0618 I can say from experience that giving up my religious beliefs was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it was well worth it.

  • @samcarr6 I can say from my seeing experience most comments like yours a sign of giving up your faith because it's the easy way out of learning about God and excepting discipline from the bible. You have no faith that's all, but your not wrong, God does not force people to continue serving him, it's always been a choice. It might not be the right choice but that’s your choice and no one can change that, only U!

  • @ezra0618

Speaking of choice: How can free will exist with an omniscient god? By definition, chioce involves at least 2 choices. Now, let's say god knew you were going to tie your shoe at a specific moment in time Could you do anything else other than tie your shoe? If you can't, free will is an illusion. If you can, god is not all knowing.

  • And if one were to do this and still not find god, the christian would say that "you didn't do with your whole heart." or some such answer. Their is no way to answer that will satisfy these people oher than "I'm saved". IF the bible didn't condtrdict itself, which it does, it wouldn't make god real. Any good novel fails to contradict itself. A news story generally won't contradict itself. That doesn't make novels and the news correct. The field of biblical scholarship is understandably biased

  • @DoctorBlissphd

toward belief. Their are a few scholars who are agnostics, skeptics and a few athests, but the vast majority are christian. Why? For the same reason the vast majority of people who claim to be christians don't spend their life studying holy books from other faiths. Because once it has been sufficiently proven false, they don't want to spend their lives studying nonsense. I grew up very christian. I still bet someone wil tell me I didn't jesus correctly.

  • @DoctorBlissphd Your talking a bout people that have contradicted the bible's texts and you as a easy person to give up believe in what a person has made up! It's always wise to study it and find the answers on your own, to see if it is biblical or not, before giving up because someone told you what they thought it meant, you caved in! It's easy to give up than to continue serving GOD!

  • @ezra0618

The great thing about actual scholarly work is that it's well documented. That way, anyone who doubts the conclusions or wants to see for themselves can simply look at the documentation and then, in biblical study, compare the scholars work with the text. This ensures accuracy and makes it possible for people to learn about a topic without having to do the work themselves. If everyone had to prove everything themselves, most people would die during childhood.

  • @DoctorBlissphd Your no doctor, a doctor will research all doubt able material to find the answers before giving up, or at least a wise doctor would!

  • @ezra0618

DoctorBliss is my porn name. You are assuming people start out theists. As a christian, have you studied all the material(that means years of school and research not wikipedia) contradicting the bible or material that gives a non-biblical explaination? I sincerely doubt it. Once sufficient evidence is found that something is incorrect, a new path is generally taken.

  • I'd rather look for unicorns with all my heart.

  • I didnt find god..i tried for 15 seconds

  • I was a Christian for the first 18 years of my life, and once I finally started to question what I was believing, I quickly became an Atheist. Even if the Christian god exists, I would not worship him. If you claim the bible is true, then God is twisted.

  • @iXaos7 Nice story brah.

  • Hey man, took you up on you challenge and tried this one.

Exodus 35:2 "For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a sabbath of complete rest to the LORD; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death".

Killed the local seveneleven cashier for working on sunday. Said to the police´I was doing gods work, but they called me a robbing, murdering sob and threw my ass in jail.

There are serious flaws in you "good" book sir.

  • @soskid

Hey, as long as it doesn't contradict itself(it does) than it's OK. It's not murder if god tells you to do it. You are on the fast track to the narrow path.

  • @DoctorBlissphd Sure it's murder, even if god tells you to. Just means you have an accomplice, an imaginary partner in crime and your god is an immoral asshole.

Sounds a bit schizofrenic to me.

  • @soskid Wow! they have youtube in prison! Sorry the old testament has old laws that do to some changes witch have happened, don't apply to us anymore These people worked all week/ends because in there hart loved riches more than God, it was about respect for the creator, I shall not worship a idol of any sort, only God, it was a sin back then and it is still a sin now! U R a flaw.

  • @ezra0618 You need to read you bible. In the NEW testamente Jesus says That ALL of the old laws are valid. Just what changes and happenings are we talking about that nullifies the word of Jesus?

My little story is just a story, Guess I should have seen that christian gullibility making you believe it. "It is written and therefor it is so." ROFLMAO.

  • @soskid So the seven elevin clerk was going to live forever? He's not going to die? Oh, it says he will die in 12 hours from his work? I missed the 12 hours part.

  • @Chemlightbatteries Have no idea what you're talking about. Please elaborate.

  • Now I really want to know, please explain to me the reason why god condones polygamy even though he forbids adultery. Why he says thou shalt not kill and then tells everyone to stone the child who disrespects his parents, now I realize that this is also forbidden in the commandments, but you have to admit that it does seem a bit harsh. And to follow up on my earlier comment, I think that while faith is comforting, one should still not adhere to it when substantial resoning/evidence dictates else

  • An Atheists is giving up faith in Jesus/bible that's pretty sums it up. Atheists rely on someone else's info or science to show them the way other then holly spirit, that’s the easy way out, it’s always easy to give up and do what’s wrong then doing what’s right! Deuteronomy 32:6 "Is this the way you repay the Lord, you foolish and unwise people? Is he not your Father, your Creator, who made you and formed you? O I forgot they wait for an Ape to show them the Holy Spirit, well keep waiting

  • Wow, your grammar is amazing!

  • @ezra0618

All science is based on the scientific method. By defintion, all experiments MUST be repeatable. So, if someone were so inclined, they could repeat nearly any experiment and see the results for themselves. It may take some serious academic work, which throws a wrench in your easy way out hypothesis, but it's possible. Thus no faith required. Furthermore, science is NOT atheism. This is a video about theism/christianity, not science.

  • I have a counter challenge. How about YOU spend a month obeying the Lord's commnad in Exodus 31:12-15 and tell us how it worked out for you, BTW, I tried to read the Bible. It's so full of lies, errors, contradictions and scientifically disprobeable innacuracies, I couldn't take it seriously. When I got to Job, and read how God wiped out a man's family and tortured him to win a bet, I gave up.

  • @TheThunderduck Poor old Job. I know he's fictional but I still feel sorry for him.

  • Do you believe in dinosaurs? where are they in the Bible? This book is the history of our world and creation how could it talk of Men and women and other animals but leave out creatures some 75 foot tall and 100 foot wide flying beasts???? The bible is nothing more then mens attempt to explain why we are here in a simple way. we need this all seeing being thats always watching us so we will try to be good boys and girls and not go to hell.

  • It honestly repulses me to hear someone say "put God first". If that doesn't make your skin crawl, as though something were creeping into your chest.... Just insidious.... You are a slave sir. I know what the words of god profess. I could easily find something inspiring in the bible, its writers were poets after all; but there are lots of poets and I'd rather listen to Dante, Goethe, Ovid, Virgil before Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.

  • How do you search for something with your heart?

  • @3234718

Christians believe in a sixth sense called heart-eyes. They believe, regardless of much evidense to the contrary, that the heart can see.

  • @DoctorBlissphd My liver can smell carbon monoxide. I have a liver-nose.

  • Hello

at 2.50, you said "bible fixed itself and justify itself". First, you say that GOD(who wrote the bible, yeah!) must fix his own words and justify it to the puny human that we are!(what an insecure almighty god)Second, when brights decide to show those contradictions, they show them, so here is a challenge for you : pick some contradiction on google, explain it, and show us how your book "perfectly fix itself". Because even my religion teacher admitted that, so i wonder.

  • maybe you shouldn't be out to change other peoples minds and just focus on whats best for you and what you yourself want to believe. i'm not fighting i'm just saying. haha

  • Ok. I'll try out 2 Kings 2:23-25.

Because apparently asking god to send 2 she-bears to devour children who make fun of me is legit. :D

  • God's word also condones slavery, incest, sacrafice, murder, genocide, and many other horrible acts. Christians only take the parts of the bible that are "wonderful" and "saving" and don't ever address the evils of the bible or take those as fact and live by those words, too.

  • If you seek anything with all your heart you will find it. beware it may not be reality.

  • It's sad to see a brain wasted on delusion. It's a very powerful and self-destructive drug and a large portion of America is addicted. The guy in this vid has injected his brain with WAY too much of the stuff.

  • 2 Samuel 24:24:

    this says 50 shekels

    1 Chronicles 21:25:

    this says 600

    which is it?

  • 1 Cor 2:15 "The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:"

    Vs.

1 Cor 4:5 "Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God."

  • Thank you for the reminder :-) May God bless you!

  • Ok. I'll pick something from the bible and go out and do it. But I need help.

I'm confused. Should it be Saturday or Sunday that I go out and kill anyone I find working?

    Exodus 31:15

  • @Genechanger it's too bad he will ignore this comment

  • RE: there are no bible contradictions.

Please explain to me how Joseph could have two fathers? Heli and Jacob are listed as Josephs father in different places.

    Luke: 3:21-31

    Matthew: 1:6-16

  • @itsjustameme don't worry yourself.

    That's just one contradiction.

The bible is filled from start to finish with contradictions, inventions, myths, legends and just plain made up lies which don't even have any historical accuracy, never mind all the miraculous nonsense.

If the bible had just been written, it would be classified in the historical fiction section of any library.

It has no more validity as truth than Homer's Odyssey.

  • @Genechanger

You don't have to tell me - I don't believe it.

I was just pointing out one of the more amusing contradictions.

Another Bible contradiction that supposedly does not exist according to Specilum is 1 Kings 7:23 that gives measurements of a circle with a diameter of ten and a circumference of 30 - meaning that the value of Pi for the circle is exactly 3.

I find that to be pretty damn amusing.

  • @itsjustameme That's a minor thing. Most of the key events on which Christianity hangs, such as the Exodus, The flood, The Nativity, etc., can now be proved never to have happened.

  • @Genechanger

Technically I would say that christianity rests more on genesis than any of those. If Adam & Eve never ate the fruit then there was no sin for Jesus to die for. Making the whole charade sodding silly. All the other parts of the Bible may be claimed to be somewhat metaphorical without any major hurt, but not the genesis account.

    Just saying.

  • @itsjustameme I would think that the exodus would loom large in the justifaction for Judeo-christian religions and the resurrection has been said to be the key to christianity.

Niether of them have any independent evidence, other than the bible to prove that they ever happened and, on a seasonal note, even the bible itself proves that the Nativity never happened. So sorry, there's no reason for christmas, so we might as well just celebrate the winter solstice, like the first christians did.

  • @Genechanger

    Amen to that.

    Let's leave it there.

  • @itsjustameme I agree, Take care.

  • Who created god?

  • I also use to believe in Jesus and go to church when I was a little kid. And I would pray for my families well being every night. Then my mom got cancer. Now are you going to tell me I didn't believe enough?

  • Well i guess all those starving Ethiopian children didn't put god first, so they weren't taken care of.

  • I think ill choose The Satanic Bible .... less bullshit

  • I'd like to take 1 Timothy 2:12, Leviticus 27:29 and Exodus 21:7, apply them to my life and see how quickly I get arrested and imprisoned.

  • dont prove god because proof denies faith and without faith god is nothing so i think that you should prove him because i am an athiest

  • @ninetailsflame no proof will be enough, your mind is made up you have chosen yourself.

  • Oh, there are a lot of things that are mentioned in the Bible that I practice as much as possible. Generally, though, these are things that are in other texts of ancient wisdom as well. It's the ones that didn't work anymore that made me an atheist!

  • i know id enjoy giving him head!!! i once converted a fundamentlist after giving him toe curling head.. he never went back..

  • Oooooh, so it's like "The Secret"? Cool.

  • Look, I think faith is great, it gives us comfort, but if I do decide to live my life according to god's tenents, and my life turns out good, it does not mean that god exists. All it means is these are good guidelines for your life. I also do not understand how experiencing god in one way, means that he/she is present in all other forms of life as dictated by the Tanakh. This type or reasoning is called an equivocation fallacy. Although I would like to discuss this with you if you disagree.

  • @shortstop1231000 It's not about having faith, it is who you put your faith in. A man that has 97% faith a plane doesnt crash is no better than the man who only has 1%, if they both board the plane and arrive safely the faith that it didnt crash are the same. And placing your life in Gods hands doesnt make your life easier, in fact more people will turn against you. However, when someone is brutally murdered or something terrible happens, God gives you peace and understanding.

  • The bible: best sci-fi book written. I'm listening to this guy talk and thinking, clueless redneck

  • evidently you didnt watch the video or read his statement underneath. Again, this is where you thought you knew what he would say, he states he was an atheist and has found it to be true..the aclu is ridiculous, yet, they have rights as do i. "in God we trust" 1864 on coins, we have Christian heritage going way back to Christopher Columbus. Sorry not secular, or atheist, how does a person discount something they dont believe in? lol...i dont argue over cupid.

  • the bible; a 2000 year old book of anicdotal hearsay

  • This was posted three years ago, the guy could be an atheist again by now.

  • @929myohmy or not....

  • @forgiveeveryone It is my prayer that he is.

  • @929myohmy that is your choice....God still loves you... happy thanksgiving!

  • Just one question: why do this with passages from the bible? And why pick the nice passages? You know what? I can't be bothered to carry on this comment. I may as well say bleh bleh bleh bleh bleh for all the good it will do.

  • OK, it didn't work...What are you going to do about it?

  • I followed Deuteronomy to the letter and now i have to go to prison......Go figure??

  • @mylkTV vs 8..God gave them land. vs 10-11 God increase them by the 1000. vs 12 God let's them choose from among them leaders (such as a government)..vs 16 Judge fairly God tells them.and anything too hard bring to me. AND THEY REBELLED AGAINST GOD, vs 42 but the Lord tells them not to fight they will be defeated, consequence to their rebellion. if your going to quote something, at least make it truthful...

  • Challenge accepted. I'll be back.

  • Hansel and Gretel doesn't contradict itself but that doesn't make it true.

Even if someone legitimately did your challenge and came up with nothing, you would still say they didn't take it serious because it didn't work and it always works or your Bible is wrong, and that is out of the question so it has to be your fault because the Bible can't be wrong.

Typical Christian: Go to Google. Type in "Flaws in Evolution." You know what I'm not going to waste my time.

  • I'm not where you are which, by definition, means that your God's "grace" is a pretty iffy, fair-weather, and faulty proposition. Not exactly infallible. Jesus didn't die for me. I wasn't around. If he ever did exist (which I greatly doubt), his death didn't do me any favors. I would have preferred if he had lived out his life as a fat, happy carpenter. No one would have created a cult that can't work if it doesn't frighten people with eternal damnation.

  • have any of you read all the statements on here? who is kind, loving, caring about someone else? who's mind is open? Everyone just wants to be right, they dont care that they may not understand, and seek to understand, you just discount it, like teenagers when your parents tell you not to do something, rebellious. Instead of cursing, and slander, if you want to know you will seek Him, and if you dont why do you hate those who follow Him?

  • @forgiveeveryone We don't hate theists. We just hate it when other people tell us how we should be living our lives when we're doing just fine the way we are. Keep your faith, it's absolutely fine with us. Just don't push it on us, don't try to say science supports it, and keep it out of politics.

  • @labrat1807 then why are you on a video that challenges you to change? History shows you it's been in politics, hence the constitution, "one nation under God" , our year states 2011 A.D.. It's what is in your heart and mind that God changes, but yet He doesnt force you to believe, I will keep my faith, yet on a daily basis i have the ACLU fighting schools, businesses, and even in the court. Every person in every group has radicals, I enjoy talking with others, I just dont like hatered

  • @forgiveeveryone I am not on any video that challenges anyone to change. If you think I am, then find that video, actually WATCH it this time, and then grasp what it is actually about. DO NOT give me that "one nation under god" bullshit. That was added to the pledge in 1954 in a clear contravention of the First Amendment. Your secular country was founded by secularist deists, and atheists. As for the ACLU, please tell me one unreasonable thing they have done, just one.

  • I think by the amount of dislikes this video has shows people are starting to use there brains and are dumb blinded idiots like this retard.

  • A simple principal or scripture, ok. How about James 1:5 "If any of you lackwisdom, let him askof God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraidethnot; and it shall be given him." This might have been the final blow for me, I'm not sure. There are to many problem with religion to know for sure. If don't think I was sincere believe me I was. I don't know how long I read the scripture and prayed every night, and I wonted to believe. I'm sorry, the scripture fail, so your challenge also fails.

  • Why is your god hiding? Why do I have to find him? Why do I need a pure hear to find him? It looks like you have to first brainwash yourself into believing in order to believe.

  • @oscarg707 I've heard finding him in jail is easiest.

  • @oscarg707 because your a sinner just like me. you dont go to heaven because you say u are. when you realize Christ died for your sin and mine and everyone, paid a price for what we deserve then you may understand, it isnt brainwashing, we like to think we know it all, and what i have found is we know nothing, God gave you everything, and we pretend he doesnt exist. i dont look down on the people that dont know Him, because i used to be their, only by His grace did he let me see my error.

  • 1:56 He's pretty much got it....

  • I took this challenge many years ago and it did nothing. To pre-empt claims that I was not seeking with all my heart or what have you, I was raised a Roman Catholic. I knew no other life but to seek God and Jesus. I followed Scripture, I obeyed the Commandments, yet I was miserable. I felt no love, no peace and no joy of Christ. It was not untill I realised that it was empty rhetoric and false hope did I begin to appreciate life, love and reality for what they are, not what I want them to be.

  • Yeah...everything there is true if you decide it's true-same goes to everything.

You can easly take all the words of the Jedi, and use them in your life has you believe them.

You can do the same with any other religion or words...

YOu only proven that if you believe in something, and go and believe it more...it will become your reality.

I believe in everything-I can see the pattern build from a religion to another-it's like words similar to-"If you believe in the stone,it will belive in you".

  • your pick and choose approach to the bible is a disgrace.

Oh and by the way, I did complete your challenge - spend an entire year on it, and I found nothing, absolutely nothing, Zip, Nada or in my own language INGENTING.

So by your own challenge and definitoin at 1:56 the bible i garbage. And guess what - it is. it is moraly bankrupt. It is a big lie, made by men to control other men. Free you mind, and let it go.

  • Specilum ur an idiot. go back to where you googled the contradictions and read one for real instead of shunning one off.

You CLAIM to have already have done that. but try that again, for real this time. give us an example, and let us get in on it

  • Good for you. You found 1 out of 1000's of verses in the Bible and made your life about that one. So, when are you going to read the rest of the book? How about where Abraham kills his son Isaac. No, then how about the part were it sais a man shall not lay with another man. No. How about bashing babies agianst rocks? Hell no! You are a complete Dumbass!

  • why do religious people believe that atheists are "cheaters, liers and thieves" who "go out " all the time. I treat everybody with respect all white people, black people, homosexuals, straight, women and men...etc.I commit no crime and i do not cheat on my partners nor steal from others.I help and support my family, friends and strangers i see in trouble. My only "sin" is to not believe in the bible, more than i can say for EVERY person i directly know who claims to be religious.

  • but why doesnt god say anything about jesus in the old testament, and another thing how the fuck can god have a son????

  • Okay I'll take a verse out of the bible, specifically Leviticus 15:29 which gives clear instruction for women to be seperate for 8 days during their menstrual cycle and then to sacrifice 2 doves. I think trying to apply this to my life would very much cause the bemusement and anger of half the worlds population.

  • I like how all these christians never notice the first two thirds of their book is spent saying that the jews are correct and they are gods people, not the christians

  • I wonder if you would take the same challenge yourself by chosing a verse from the Quran or The Torah or the Bhagavadgita...why do Christians think that their religion is the only true religion?

  • (Read the comment below 1st)

Even if that feeling only varies the smallest bit it wouldn't make sense you felt god/jesus/the holy spirit (w/e) for real. If it would then god is a bastard for making 10000 different streams in christianity which have conflicts between eachother because the fractions all think they know what their savior wants.

  • I have a challenge for all you believers. Take a random fairy tale and read it to see if you find some sort of truth in it.

Spoiler: you will, in every story there is a lesson to be taught and that lesson varies from person to person depending on how you interpretate the story. Saying that you "felt" god or jesus or the holy spirit (w/e) is just batshit insane because there are so many different people who "felt" the holy trinity and almost everyone has had a different feeling.

  • here's something else atheist do when they want to learn about the bible.

we look up the history of the bible, how it was written how many writers it had, how it has been doctored through the centuries, etc

ill give you a head start, Moses didn't write anything in the old testament

  • The Bible says things like shellfish and lobsters are an abomination, and that cutting off the sides of your hair is morally wrong, and yet you can't find any contradictions? Why not try reading it before praising it? I got about half way through, myself, before I burst out laughing and couldn't stop until I through up.

  • Look at his tiny brain trying to form ideas...so cute

  • Can I pick any simple truth from the bible and try it out? Because the government keeps saying I can't have slaves, stone people to death, or any of the other hundred things I found when flipping through the pages. Help!

  • I'm afraid I didn't take your challenge as it is flawed from the start. For instance, what does 'search with all your heart' even mean? How do I prove that I did search with all my heart? By becoming a christian? If I search but in my search discover contrary evidence that makes god a very unlikely entity, will this in your eyes automatically mean that I stopped searching with my heart? Why not try searching with your brain instead?

  • There are pockets of truth in greek writting, muslim writtings, asian texts, all kinds of ideas and writting from all over the world - you're not special dude! Just dont belive all the bogus supernatural claims because there would be tons of evidence already if it was. This is your big challenge ! Find evidence for "god" and you'll save us all a lot of head/heart ache. Good luck ;)

  • being an atheist doesnt mean you have to think *everything* in the bible is false - the bible was written by humans struggling to survive in a harsh environment; there are personal experiences about life written in the bible which are universally true; however, the spriritual/god/supernatural parts are all bogus!

  • I have a question to u do u believe what a crack pot in a cave wrote in a book several 1000 years ago? i dont!
