Ive been told over and over never to use rubber bands in your hair because they pull it out..your video has just shown me that naturals do use rubber bands....im gonna go buy me a pack and get to styling!

I'm a Natural who usually avoids rubber bands. But, ever so often I use them on my SL hair and my kids WL & Tailbone hair with no worries. I use tiny bit of oil on the rubber bands (soak them in teeny tiny bit of oil right before use) and then cut them out when I'm taking them out (careful not to accidently cut hair), don't put them on tight, and don't leave them in long. I usually change the rubber bands after 3 days, especially if I see frizzing. I also do not use them near roots of hair.

I love that style. i can never get my braids right on my own hair. Please do a tutorial on that. I copied some of your styles..lol. i recently did my daughter's hair in the mini braids that you did awhile ago..her hair is really long and thick, so it took me about 6 hours with a 30 minute break so she could eat..lol.end results were great, that is her summer look, at least for 3 weeks...thanks again for all your videos. Oh and looooovvveee those earrings at the end..too cute.
