really sounds like vedder, especially on black!! thats y people get confused, i had heard that some years bfore not knowing which band, thinking it was PJ ! now i find it again! this is awesome!! downface kicks ass
My grandpa died and this reminds me of him. He was 97. His dad lived to be 103. I miss him, really, really, really bad. My grandma is alive and I fear that she is lonely, and she is 83. "I never want to be alone, now I turn and face the cold" They were married 56 years. I keep wanting him back, however I saw him buried yesterday. I saw him in the nursing home, he stared at all those old people, screaming and what now, he didn' t like that. He farmed all his life, didn't want to stay still. :,(
I cannot believe that as much of a grunge fan as I am (to this very day!), and a huge fan of this band's apparent influences... that I never heard this before!
As a writer/musician, let me explain something to the ignorant:
MUSIC ONLY GOES SO FAR, before it begins to resemble something pre-existing. Imitation (although usually coming from INSPIRATION, not perjury!) is the most sincere flattery.
I would think that Eddie, Layne, etc... would welcome the comparison, and vice-versa.
@KjKnine For someone who just heard the song for the first time, you seem to know alot about the history behind it. Were you addressing this message to yourself?
ok ok... i totaly thought this was eddie and Layne, wow! u guys are incredible! I didnt believe it at first, then I researched, Alone is a song by pearl jam, and its totaly different, then mad season has a song called All Alone, again totally different, and AIC, has NO song called Alone! Im am so sorry to ever doubt ur amazing talent! U guys rock!

This is an acoustic adaptation of a song that was originally electric so that's a weird route to go to 'steal' a guitar part....

amazing song really sounds like a staley song tho thats for sure love it thanx
shamos79 1 year ago
Wow, I Thought that was Layne Staley singing... GREAT SONG! :]
poepap 1 year ago
any real fan of Staley could easily tell that's not him.
if anything, it would sound more like Scott Stapp from Creed.
i still don't get why so many people think this is Alice In Chains & Pearl Jam, i don't hear it at all.

good song too bad the guitar part was stolen from Candlebox - Cover Me
My0wnSavi0r 3 years ago 3
you know, your right.
but i like this song better anyway - it gets the atmosphere better.
candlebox is more delicate/
wiccawaccamofo 3 years ago 2
You are right on thats the riff from Cover me
southernman9765 3 years ago
Because no one has ever played e, g, a, g, e, a, g, c before. Candle box must have been the 1st.
projectrub1 3 years ago 2
i think is not stolen...many songs have similar guitar parts.. it doesnt mean that they are "copies" of another song!
just listen this song , and candlebox song...and be happy :)!
GolduckSM6 2 years ago
Not trying to take anything from the song. Its a good song.
Stolen might have been the wrong word to use maybe influenced.
Everyone does it.
