I download torrents at up to about 375 kb/s on my DSL and up to about 110 kb/s on PDAnet. I can use load balancing on Vuze to achieve using both connections and increase speeds. Search for "Vuze" and "load balancing" on Google.

just root your phone and use TBH patch for Droid X,allows you to go to any site secured or not.And if youre new to Verizon youll be caped at 2gigs but if you're a grandfather of the unlimited data package you wont be caped.

Question, I have the HTC mytouch 4g for tmobile. Am currently using the $70 4G unlimited plan, but this plan only gives me 5GB of 4G access and the rest afterwards 2G. Now my phone allows tethering, and I even asked an associated if we were allowed to use it? He said yes, but that I would be cap at 1GB. If I use this program, will it allow me to use tethering as if I was only using the phone, thus allowing me to use up my whole 5GB of 4G speed, or will Tmobile still gap me at 1GB?

@journey2xl You can't use a data plan from a phone as your main internet connection unless you are just web browsing. You will easily go over the data cap.

@vlad1000 There is no LTE unlimited plan. There might be 5gb plans like there are know which gives you unlimited web browsing because it's hard to use that much data web browsing. I think only the iphone has a true unlimited plan, but maybe not.

@MarionetteKazuko he is using the site speedtest. net. and they show their transfer rates in Mbps or Megabits per second. You can go to google and search for a bit converter site. He first downloaded at .44 Mbps and that is equivalent to 56 Kilobytes per second. He uploaded at .28 which is the same as 35 kb/s. Pretty slow but like he said he didnt have a great connection. When i use pdanet, i cant get 300 kilobytes per second.

Go to my channel and you will see a video on wifi tether. The only way to do this is by rooting your phone though. A very simple process now.

That is kind of caused because I'm in a small town. If you want to compare At&t in the town my college is in good luck. You will be lucky if you can make a phone call inside of a building. Most have to go outside. Verizon gets full signal. I don't need 3mega bits on a phone. 1 would be all i need and I usually get 1.5Mb where my college is.
