  • I just need a really quick cheap, external mic. so i was wondering where you could find that first sony ecmmsd1 at?or is it too bad? even if it is bad i still want to know if you know where to find it? It would be great if you could respond! Thanks!

  • big difference, youtube and my freind was right, it makes the bigest difference

  • This is a great video because a lot of us (including me) are guilty of poor voice over audio. Just taking some of these steps will make our videos much more professional and better to listen to. Thanks.

  • what about audio music?

  • Great video ,not too many of us are in to the electronics side of video where sound is as important as video.5/5

  • nice tips, but you forgot to mention compressor/limiter... :-)

  • audio is a tough subject, good stuff

  • Hallelujah!!!!

    Thank you brother. I am going to post this up to my blog.

  • Thanks a lot for the info.

  • great vid ,, thanks for sharing,now just like you i use balanced feeds and 48v but on the odd occasion 1/8" trs on the lower budget camera is all you have to work with like when you dont want your £6000:00 camera out in the rain (canon) i use my old sony for the odd shot that if im on an abseil rope,on a lump of rock its a bit more manageable;;

  • Really appreciate you sharing your expertise with the rest of us! Please, keep them coming!

    Thank you!

  • Excellent, I like how you improved one thing at a time to show the audio improvement. Would like to hear more about audio, for example, what 2 XLR mics would you use on your DVX for an interview or a musical performance; any rules of thumb or strategies you can share.

  • Right now I use 2 lavaliere microphones I built myself, you can see them being built in Episode 5 and you can here them on quite a few of the other casts. If you check the website you can find an interview with Dave Shirk about mastering audio with one attached to each of us. They would work for recording a band in stereo. I also like Pzm's.

  • how to remove video noise?
