  • i cried soooo hard when rose left. then season 4 came, that psycho Donna character told a bllonde to tell a woman the "they were in the bin there" the blone turned around, i screamed with excitement, then cried again when she dissappeared. i dont remember any other part of that episode...

  • @cheekymonkeyo10 Actually, he gave the TARDIS some of his years of life, not his regenerations....

  • @WeepingAngel14

It is about when the dr, rose and mikey went to a parallel universe. The tardis lost all it's power and the doctor gave some of his regenerations to get them back to our universe

  • Confused, what is this about?

  • I cried at the episode, and nearly at the song :) It is very good :)

  • The most upbeat song about being locked in a past era with a person who thinks he's you that I've ever heard.

  • this song breaks my heart </3

  • This song is referencing to "Rise of the Cybermen" and "The Age of Steel." "What happens when all the lights go out?" is when the TARDIS dies. "If I give some of my life, we'll use it to escape this place" is when he gives away ten years of his life to get the TARDIS started again. If you look at the lyrics and what happens in the episodes, it's definitely referencing "Rise of the Cybermen" and "The Age of Steel."

  • @TheAwesomeDebster

    I think the same.

  • @IRemindMeOfTheBabe It also says that they're stranded, and that if he gives some of his life, he'll use it to escape. In Pete's world, they were stranded and he had to give 10 years for the little glow thing in order to revive the TARDIS. Also, in the song, the lyric "where are they running off to? I thought that they would care" is about how Mickey and Rose left in opposite directions, ignoring all the Doctor's warnings. The lyric you mentioned could easily be simply a figure of speech.

  • @steamwrench I know. It's just, that's what most people seem to think of when they hear that line.

  • hahahaaa I AM COMPLETLY OBSESSED......mwahahhaaaa

  • I thought that this song was about them being shipwrecked on the parallel earth, so how come everyone's talking about the Vashta Nerada?

  • @steamwrench It says "What happens when all the lights go out?" and as most of us know, that either means that the Vashta Nerada have you, or the Angels have you.

  • @IRemindMeOfTheBabe what about good old cybermats? cybermans tomb second doctor

  • @4thdoctor4thewin This is gonna sound soooo lame, but the only Doctors I watch are 9, 10, and 11.

  • @steamwrench

It most definitely is. :/ There are a lot of lights out things in Doctor Who, I guess people enjoy trying to make as many as possible.

  • @steamwrench As many references as possible. Sorry, my mind is a touch disjointed today.

  • @steamwrench because they are idiots

  • Who was the ONE PERSON that disliked this? Let's set the Vashta Nerada on them.

  • k, when i get my own tardis im going to when they abandoned the other amy and keeping her for myself... hehehe

  • @Pliknotjumbo other amy?

  • @Pliknotjumbo you mean the old one?

  • what's up with the really long silence at the end?

  • @TheScifiaddict I am assuming that they either ran out of music to play . . . or . . . THE SILENCE HAS FALLEN! Perhaps "what happens when all the lights go out" is THE question . . .

  • What happens when a weeping angel and vashta nerada are locked in a dark room together..? o.O

  • @smilingassassin1000 Assorted Ass Kicking, but in seriousness i think the Vashta Nerada would win.

  • ;_______________;

  • Ths is so sad

  • new who, season 2, episode 6: rise of the cyberman. they get stranded in a parallel universe and the tardis breaks down.

  • The 1 dislike is from a dalek

  • ok, if i ever get a time/multiverse traversing device then i'm going to the time when the doctor meets Sexy and bringing her back to the doctor at this time to cheer him up (screw the timeline)

  • *sobs* Nothings. . . nothing at all *sobs more*

  • Sorry, I just don't see it. But, after listening to The Sound of Drums and watching their performance at Vidcon, I can almost see Ed Plant as the Master... Almost

If you're thinking of the next Doctor, might I suggest Benedict Cumberbatch? ^.^

  • I miss david tennant :(

  • i think this needs some covering ;) :p

  • thumbs up if Charlie Mcdonnell, Tom Milsom, or Alex Day should be the next doctor!!!!! It would be so cool if they were!!!!

  • @LoveBritz No, just no. A million times, no.

  • I miss david tennent so much :'(WAAAAA)

  • @LoveBritz Tennant.

  • This scares me toward what happened with the 10th Doctor. I worry and wonder if Steven will either waste or use the loophole for the Doctor, and I miss David Tennant. What if this song ends the loophole that is the clone from "Journey's End"? I'm worried that it won't happen.

  • my fav chameleon circut song.

  • wow no dislikes :')

show's what an awesome song it is <3

  • The bit about him getting old is what I felt before his regeneration.

  • I love "sorry, I'm so sorry, seems I'm not that clever after all".

Just seems so sad if the doctor would say that.

Can't wait for the new album!

  • totally not tearing up or anything...

  • I love Alex's voice <3

  • big bang 2 is better.

  • why is it silent for like 2 minutes

  • "Now my race are erased; nothing but the memories Folktalkes told through time Legacy meant to be buried with the yale key And my remaining lives"

    ;____;

  • i love how he says "i'm sorry, i'm so sorry"

    ten <3

  • people think this is from "Voyage of the damned" but its really from "Age of steel" and "Rise of the cybermen"

  • @GetGlueGuy see I kept thinking It was Voyage Of The Damned but I couldnt understand how the lyrics didn't match up with the episode. I get it now though, suddenly it all makes huge sense.

  • the doctor is a god and chameleon circuit rulez :D !!!

  • the very beginning reminds me of strawberry fields forever . . . probably because it so sad

  • Oh man, this is so sad but I can't stop listening to it!

  • Nice little song this. Less rock-y than the others that I've heard.

  • i thought this song was about season 2- the girl in the fireplace?...

  • 100th like :P

  • 0 dislikes. 0. zero. nada, zilch, none a-tall. not a single soul can bring themselves to push that red button. and yet the views are in the 5 digits. no one can do it.

    Beautiful.

  • @zyglak359 ya jinxed it

  • @Malanaks

    still 0

  • <3

  • Sorry everybody, but you should know that when the lights go out, it means the vashta nerada are feasting on you flesh. On a completely unrelated note, why do I have two shadows?

  • @aquadrop25 lets just say its the lighting for now.

  • @Ontinara Hello? Anybody there? Why can't I see anything? Hello?

  • @aquadrop25 Every should know that.Unless they haven't seen that episode before.

  • @aquadrop25 So I really wanted to thumb up your comment, but it already had 42. And it's not my place to ruin such a beautiful thing.

  • @RazFan11 Well this comment makes me much happier than a thumbs up.

  • @aquadrop25 it either means that you have two lightbulbs on at once or it means THE VASHTA NERADA ARE COMING! haha jk ;)

  • can you teach me these

  • It's karma for the way you treated the Dalek in the "The last Dalek" episode......

  • When everything goes dark, then the angels get you!

Chameleon Circuit of all bands ought to know this. >_>

  • @NerdyFailure but the epsiode this is based on came before blink.

  • -sadness-

this is the theme tune for my life x

  • When doctor, as a series, ends. A part of my childhood will die :") <3

  • @MsUndiscovered1 are you kidding? doctor who is never, NEVER going to end. even if they somehow run out of ideas for new episodes, they can remake old ones, so don't worry! :)

  • @mckeelsy They wouldn't do that. The Who world is just too large to run out of ideas, honestly, and if they started remaking old episodes, it'd be better that they just end the series than kill the originality!

  • is your name matt or tord

  • is your name matt or edd

  • @chaobreeder100 eddworld refference!!!!!!!!!

but this is a doctor who song......

  • I absolutely love Dr. Who. I have been watching since I was little and when I heard on Charlie's show about this band I absolutely flipped. These songs are absolutely brilliant in every way and I have bought the Album on itunes, if you haven't- you MUST. And for those of you who were wondering, I see lots of comments about it, this is Alex Day singing. <3

  • Tis definetely from rise of the cybermen, like at 2:30 it talks about how Mickey and Rose run off, not caring about the doctors problems.

  • My favorite :D

  • What happens when all the lights go out?

    THE ANGELS GET YOU!

  • @FridgeOfTheFuture or you get eaten by the piranhas.

  • @FridgeOfTheFuture That or the Vashda Narada. ;3

  • @FridgeOfTheFuture And in the same moment, you're in the shadows so you're eaten up by the Vashta Nerada!! So, you're totally screwed and someone in the past is gonna be pretty freaking scared when a skeleton pops out of nowhere.

  • @FridgeOfTheFuture OH YES!!! now allons-y before they get here!

  • @FridgeOfTheFuture Don't forget the vashdenrada

  • I like this song

  • you guys don't know the difference between all those English speaking people. of corse it's alex!

  • @mmomaster2 THANK YOU! I really don't get how you can get these voices mixed up, i mean, yes they're all British, but they are still very different. Its like saying all American's voices are the same, its just a bit dim.

  • Alex puts so much feeling into his singing. It pretty much doesn't matter what song of his I listen to I end up feeling a little sad in the end. It's a good kind of sad though, I guess. Sad is happy for deep people after all! :P

  • can't say it's one of chameleon circuit's best songs...

  • refers to Rise of the Cybermen? I thought it reffered to the dramatic scene at the end of Human Nature and The Family of Blood when John Smith turns back to the doctor. He is scared 'what happens when all the lights go out' and then the time he sais he can't be a brave person 'Sorry i'm so sorry seems i'm not that clever after all'...

  • @mddbassdude727 yeah, but there's also "there's no way back" and "the vortex can't just disappear".

  • i know what this song refers to, but i just want to ask you all this: did the doctor look insane at the final bit of end of time, or was it just me.

  • what episode is this one based on???

  • the episode Shipwrecked...

  • Now... that's interesting. Considering there's never BEEN an episode called "Shipwrecked"...

I think it's just his thoughts after the loss of Gallifrey...

  • whoops

i think i meant that christmas special

    you know? with the boat?

    maybe im just insane

    heheh

    xD

  • @xmrsadampascal

    Voyage of the Damned!

But... I think it's been established what it's about...

  • @RedheadDane its all about the episodes rise of the cybermen and the age of steel, where it says a green glimmer of hope its talking about the light he finds in the tardis which he "give some of my life" to "escape this place" ect

  • @IamtheonlyJEM its probably when he finds a spark of life in his almost dead tardis after breaking through to that dimension. He sacrifices some of the years of his life to breathe life back into the tardis. The second episode of the cybermen's first appearance in the david tennant series.

  • I must admit, I've got absolutely no idea who Doctor Who is (feel ashamed...), but this song is AWESOME!!

  • @wildworms do live on mars? :) its only the best tv show in the enterity of all time!

  • Youve gotta watch the show @wildworms

    The BEST SHOW EVER

  • Fantastic

  • love this song ^^ it shows the doctor's emotion in that moment. its definantely referring to 'Rise of the Cybermen' where he declaired the TARDIS dead. tbh i don't think the writers paid enough attention to that. still, it was a good episode so im not complaining xD

  • "Sorry, I'm so sorry, seems I'm not that clever after all."

"I gave some of my life, we'll use it to escape this place,

But where are they running off to? I thought that they would care,

I try to keep them safe, they don't know what lies out there"

They really nailed the Doctor's emotion in this song. It's so sad!

  • it's alex singing this one and this is what he says about it (from chameleon cirquit's myspace): This was inspired by the beginning of Rise Of The Cybermen in Season 2, where the TARDIS crash-lands and the Doctor declares, "the TARDIS is dead". It's a HUGE moment, but a minute later he's wandering around London and I didn't feel that moment had the proper emotion, so Shipwrecked is designed to sum up how he felt in that moment.

    :) <3

  • @yohanne14 I can understand that. He loved his TARDIS; it stuck with him. *sniffle*

  • @yohanne14 I Tottally agree with that. When He sai the TARDIS was dead I wa sjust like woah! Then he was just wandering around What was Rusell thinking?

  • @Midnaspalace Much as I'd love to blame it on Russell, Tom MacRae was actually the writer on that one. ;)

  • @yohanne14 It could also refer to The Doctor's Wife from Season 6.

  • @ke7ofi It doesn't. It's about season 2, episode six: the rise of the cyberman. they all get stranded in a parallel universe

  • @yohanne14 what when was this? when did 10 say the tardis is dead? oh in the alternate universe

  • It's defiantly when they are stuck in the parallel world. The episode is in Series two...

  • ya this one is sadd

i dont think its a specific episode

  • This is definatly Alex singing :D x

  • think its the space titanic one

  • Comment removed

  • i think its alex not sure

  • Yeah you're right

So everyone sang lead vocals on the songs they wrote. This means:

An Awful Lot Of Running, Type 40 and Shipwrecked were by me

This is written by Alex in their myspace =]]

  • IT IS ,, YOU CAN TELL :) ,,,, dO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS SONG IS A BOUT , WHAT EPERSODE ????? X

  • Think its about the 'Rise of the Cybermen' Episode... Songs about the TARDIS dieing I think...

  • Yeah, they thought the writers gave too little attention to the TARDIS being dead forever and how the doctor would feel about it, so they wrote a song about it.

  • I relatively sure the song is referring to Rise of the Cybermen.

  • @NxXGXxE yea it's alex

  • @NxXGXxE It is alex ^^

  • nerimon, and the band is chameleon circuit.

  • @MeTaLkA definatly alex.

  • @MeTaLkA it is alex

  • @MeTaLkA its alex :)

  • Comment removed

  • @MeTaLkA Alex!

  • @MsChatfield I know... I already aknowleged that...

  • beautiful song! love it! <3
