This is one of my favorite Letter People songs, but then again, it has a bit of a Scotish vibe to it, which is probably why I like it (in my blood, lol).
i learned a lot from these shows. Ithink she would be played well by either of the twochicks from "baby mama". Either the surrogate mother, being blonde, thin and energetic, or by Tina Fey
I can just picture the guy throwing the leaves on the left. Big hair, big beard, yellow shirt, wide striped tie... At 1:30 you see something they forgot to edit out.
Actually, that is supposed to fall outside the viewing area of tv sets. Think of a window. There is more outside than what you can actually see from 5 ft. away. This stuff is supposed to fall in the area you don't see but which makes the picture seem right. Not too tall, not too wide. But newer flat panel lcd's can show it all especially since they don't have to account for the curvature of the boob tube.
Probably because building a puppet that looked like a human umbrella would've been pretty hard to do back then. Not every show had a Dave Goelz, Rollie Krewson, or Faz Fazakas (some of the many Henson puppet builders).
Seems to me that the camera opperator accidently filmed some set pieces off to the side while moving the camera around to make it appear like Miss U was flying.
The very 1st episode of ZOOM is here at youtube broken down into 3 parts and coule of segments shows microphone hanging out at the top of the TV screen.
You wonder if these were even noticed at the time these segments of both shows were made or where the in such a hurry they just let it pass?
The part of Miss U will be played by Rihanna. She has her umbrella ella ella ella LOL.

I decided to be Miss U in kindergarten when we were asked to be one of the letter people. The strange thing is my mom forgot to put a U on me.

Miss. U reminds me of Mary Poppins. I wonder if she inherited a flying umbrella from Mary?

I wonder why they made Ms. U a person when she has always supposed to have been an umbrella that carries another one.

It's a shame poor Miss U was so close to the end in the classroom material. You can't spell "hug" or "snuggle" or "cute and cuddly" without her! :-)

Anyone know what those things were that appeared on the left and right side of the screen?
