I ended up fabricating my own muffler. If looks like a straight pipe, but has baffles to reduce noise, and a little back pressure. I've rejetted, and the bike runs wonderfully.
Lol, i tried my GS-500 engine with no exhaust and it sounded 1000x louder than that. Maybe it's just the recording, but it was painful on my ears when it was revved.
@ColinPurvis yeah got a 1989 gs500e with cut exhaust , your deffinetly losing back pressure youll feel it in the ride and eventually gonna fry your vauvles unless you jet your carbs
I'll take it for an actual ride and rev it high and post that one. I was rev'd to about 4k in these vids. I'll redline it on the ride test, so you can hear the whole rev range.
Thats not how you get on a bike kid and the pipe is going to do you no good.
