  • I've seen the legit video of this tanker, and a lot of animations, and this is by far the best. Looks realy and all!

  • That was pretty damn cool

  • ФотоЖопа !

  • That was epic :D I watched it several times :)

  • fake,a giant robot would totaly pancake that tanker

  • HOLY CRAP!!! (TRANSFORMERS ARE REAL!!!)

  • fucking awesome! can you please make some more of giant robots crushing things?

  • @FitteFakta You know what? That's not a bad idea. It's been a couple years since I made this, and it's high time I got off my butt and made another.

  • LOL nice job saw the orginal video a while back great animation

  • fake, tankers dont exist

  • @eddp777 You, sir, have just won an internet. I wish I could vote your comment up more than once. :D

  • @3dseth lol thanks ! i was in one of those "fake" moods .. but this vid was awesome :)

  • lol that almost looks real nice job dude, ive seen original video and i like this one more

  • that was awesome

  • Nice work! I should have thought of doing something like that when I saw the original footage.

  • awesome animation :D

  • Impressive.

  • awesome

  • dude I was expecting the crushing...but the robot made me jump lol

  • nice!!

  • That is soo awsome!

  • @scheiSSkind77 you're an idiot

  • very nnicee 5 *

  • You did this quite well. The feet match the crushed locations, and it is very well timed. But the robot reminds me of a giant bunny.

  • @Chargal4 Bunnies can be quite dangerous. Haven't you seen Monty Python's "The Holy Grail"?

  • Knowing the original, it's a nice parody.

  • @scheiSSkind77 Hey Trolly McTrollerton. I am the one responsible for painstakingly compositing that mist in the scene and let me just say YOUR FACE. WHAT NOW, FAGGOT?

  • transformers xD

  • Srsly man, thaaaats juuust awsome :D

  • @scheiSSkind77 I apologize if I've offended your highly refined sensibilities and animation skills. I suppose I should've written a slight physics lesson in the description explaining how so much air being forced out at once would strike the water on the ground, throwing it into the air and creating mist. But you were right, there is no dust. Also, the mist is composited; perhaps you should "lrn 2" tell what animation actually is.

  • @3dseth Yeah, scheiSSkind77 is a jackass. It is definitely water, well steam actually. This happened as a result of steam cleaning the inside, closing up the relief valve, and subsequent cooling dropped the pressure until the car was crushed.

  • lol

  • nice job.

  • Didn

t see this one coming at all XD

  • I wasnt expecting that o. O

  • LOL

  • That's exceptionally bad-ass.

  • Wow!

    A* Merit

  • dang that tight

  • HAHA! Nice CG!

  • Hey, not bad! Thumbs up.

  • @Thesterness Thanks! :D

  • LOL awesome, I hope I can model robots like that someday

  • That was original!!

  • WIN

  • Epic.

  • very nice job!

  • that was great

  • I saw the original clip and was impressed, but your editing is very good as well! Nice job!!

  • THIS IS FAKE!

  • @Underoath0126 Indeed it is, my friend. :) It's all a trick of good old Computer Generated Imagery that my friend Dan and I put together and added to the original footage. Be sure to check out the vids in the sidebar for the original footage of the tanker implosion.

  • @Underoath0126 HO NO WAY BRO REALLY?

  • @Underoath0126 You're a real genius you know that?

  • @Underoath0126 NOOooooooooooooooo??!!

  • @Underoath0126 your a dumbass

  • make sound so its even more epic :D

  • Where did all the comments go?

  • Where did all the comments go?

  • @PolishGuy89 YouTube seems to have royally messed up the comments section in favor of ripping off Twitter, and generally making their website more difficult to navigate.

  • Was not expecting that!, Nice job!

  • @PolishGuy89 Thanks :D

  • YES YES YES!!!!

  • Metal...Geeeeeaaaar?

  • Snake? Snake! SNAAAAAAAAKE!!!

    XD

  • Haha! Holy crap this looks very real! well done

  • Wow, incredibly well done. Shame you didn't edit it into the full scene though. Would've been good to put it with the rest. :)

  • Thanks. :D This was mostly just a fun little test to try something out, but I may try to edit it into the other angle as well someday.

  • Heh, well you needn't put 3D into the rest of the scene, but just so you can see it in context in a clip of more than 3 seconds. :)

  • I love you.

  • @TubCat12 I lurve you too. :D

  • That was awesome.

  • Haha, I've seen the original clip with the vacuum implosion, I was just expecting that.

You caught me COMPLETELY off guard there.

  • I have accomplished my goal! :D I feel that part of humor is the unexpected, so I'm glad you liked it.

  • @xgcwardog I gotta say, I'm so grateful for all the feedback, but I especially enjoy comments like this. It means I was able to provide something out of the ordinary, and add to someone's day. :D

  • Very nicely done.

    blender by any chance?

  • Lightwave, actually. I have downloaded Blender, though, because I'm very impressed by what's people have made using it, especially since it's freeware.

  • Win.

  • That's great! I love the reflection in the tanker prior to the robot hitting it.

Also, by chance, is the robot from Battlefield 2142? It really strikes me as based off that model. Haven't played that game, but I recognize the shape of its legs and upper body.

  • Thanks! :D

Actually, it's an original model made by my friend dandeentremont (you can see some of his work in the related videos). I'm sure it was inspired by various robots and mechs, but the concept was his own.

  • Very impressive, I expected a crappy 2D animation when I came here, not quality work.

  • Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! :D

  • Great effects. I can't believe stuff that can be created on the consumer level these days.

  • Very cool work.

  • great work!

  • O.O WOW

  • wat program did u use? BTW 5/5

  • I used Lightwave 3D for the animation portion, as well as the lighting and rendering that Dan did, and then it was composited together in After Effects.

  • cool =D

  • Nice job.

  • Thanks! Although it's short, I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out. Again, I can't take all the credit, since my friend Dan did the lighting, rendering, and compositing, and he did an amazing job.

  • thats what I call easy PAWNAGE.

  • PUTA!WDF!

  • Needs moar views!

  • holy SHIT!!!

  • nice!

  • PWN3T!
