  • Why can I hear a large percentage of the voter age black men in these regions saying shit like, "Nobody need to know my guv'mint name" or "Muh'fuckas trying to track you with that ID" or "I got warrants." Maybe it's an observation of how many of our peoples live on the fringes of society and being on the fringe, eventually take the stance of not wanting to be a part of society. It becomes a vicious cycle and the questions on how to solve them will overshadow these empty "rallies" and photo ops.

  • The courts have upheld voter ID time after time after time. Even the SCOTUS upheld Indiana's voter ID law.

  • In Georgia, a state ID costs as much money as a driver's license. And it requires means of identification that are not always easily obtained. This is no different from a poll tax intended to keep poor people from voting? In Georgia, the main group without proper ID are young poor African-Americans!

  • @JimmyP013 I disagree respectfully, plus I know you wont agree, but should people tha poor really be voting on how to spend money the belongs to other people in taxe? I dont think its designed for blacks I think we both know that many illegal latinos will vote because of this. If you have to show id to buy beer, drive, or buy smokes I thinkshowing it for voting is only fair. Maybe the naacp should spend some of the money from the campaign to get id for people. how muc is a GA ID?

  • @JimmyP013 Georgia Voter ID cards are FREE.

  • No one is saying you shouldn't have ID, that's NOT the issue! The issue is that Republicans are intentionally passing laws that demand particular TYPES of ID that resent onerous hurdles on the poor, elderly, the young and on oppressed minorities. We're talking about as many as FIVE MILLION PEOPLE being suppressed in their efforts to vote!

Check out the Brennan Center report. READ!!! GOOGLE THIS: "Voting Law Changes in 2012

    PUBLICATIONS

By Wendy R. Weiser and Lawrence Norden

    – 10/03/11"

  • @nilent 5 million is quite an exact number of felons or ex-felons denied the right to vote through felony disenfranchisement. Thanks for the link btw.

  • Thank you!!! This is great high quality video!!! I hope that whoever has it will simply put up the whole unedited rally up on the web. Blip.tv would let you put it up as a single long file for free. (if your you tube limits you to 10 minutes)

(I'm sure there are a few folks out there who could pay attention to 40 or so minutes :-)

  • Just plain crazy, There should be a law that you have to show ID to vote, it protects my rights and your rights.. I have to show ID at the bank, at the doctors office and many other places

Anyone that complains they do NOT want to show ID to vote, has criminal intentions, and should not be trusted to vote

  • @bette1122 No, see the main issue is that there are a lot of people who dont currently have some sort of ID. Personally I think it would make sense to have an ID check, but only if there is an easy way for a citizen to get an ID. The main issue is that there are literally hundreds of thousands of American citizens who have the constitutional right to vote, but wont be allowed to because they dont have any sort of ID. That is the issue.

  • @nibblerseven Then it is there right to get or apply for some sort of ID to vote. Many places you go today the do ask for some form of ID, how do the function, if they cash a check, or apply for credit or a loan or if they need government support such as food stamps. Again I definitely believe in ID to protect their rights and mine.. : )

  • @bette1122 Alright, but in a lot of places there is no easy way to get a straight up ID. The two main options are a driver's license or a passport, right? Well a lot of people dont have passports and there are also a good amount of people who dont need/cant get a driver's license. It would make a lot of sense to create some sort of generic, cheap, state funded ID that people can get to show that they are citizens. It shouldnt be that hard.

  • @nibblerseven I agree, there should be a generic form of state ID to vote. Problem solve, everyone wins. : ) PS. My parents did not drive or have passports, but I remember they had some form of ID. what kind I honesty can not tell you its long time ago..

  • So you people see nothing wrong with showing photo id to vote yet I have to show Id if I drank or smoked? Something is wrong.

  • @utubecenseorstruth

A Georgia ID costs as much money as a driver's license. And it requires means of identification that are not always easily obtained. This is no different from a poll tax intended to keep poor people from voting? The primary group without a state ID is young poor African-Americans! There is not benefit to motivate a person to try to vote twice; it is so rare that it has no affect. The real threat is Republican politicians tampering with voting machine technology!

  • @JimmyP013 I am from Georgia, Georgia Voter ID cards are FREE. Stop spreading BS lies such as this
