i though the hyperpressure is because of occluded shclem canal. so from 2.39 onwards, was the doctor trying to clear up that canal? this question may sound stupid, sorry
hes asleep thay WILL NOT do a urgery liek that when u are awake thay will only do the YAG and a Capsilotemy(idk if its spelled rite) when u are awake...trust me i asked cuz im THE YOUNGEST person to have glocoma (im 17 diegnosed when i was 16)
Arent we exagerating? you should thank the god lord people are able to see these video it might help save your child eyes one day . Mother of a glaucoma child
Even for me as a physician, but not an ophtamologist, I don't understand really, what my colleagues are doing here, cause there are no explanations. And for this it is for the layperson all the more on the same level as it was for me, when I was watching Bunuel's "An Andalusian Dog" (the scene, when the razor blade is slicing the eye) as a teenager; 30 years ago for me a horror film - harmless in comparison to today's provocations.
I'm guessing awake but sedated. When I had this done, I remember seeing everything, hearing the doctors talk, feeling a tugging sensation (but no pain), and just absolutely not caring one bit. In my case, I was sedated with Versed and Fentanyl.
i think im scarred for life now =/....idk why i watched the whole thing....

Smoke weed...It lowers the pressure in the eyes, thus you feel better. It's a lot easier than surgery...THAT'S FOR SURE!!

what the doctors are trying to dig up there? to clean up the canal?
Arvexkira 2 years ago
No, a Glaucoma is a hyperpressure in the eyeball.
Untreated, it can lead to ablepsia.

No, it was my fault. Yes, you are right. correctly the hyperpressure is because of the schlemm-canal, it regulates the pressure into the eyeball.

It looks very clean, how you cut the sclera, cut also and flap the part of the choroidea and neutralise the inside pressure in the eye.

Children usually get general anaesthesia at eye's operations, adults at operations of the forehold section of the eye usually not.
