Hey man my grandfather has one. Im not quite sure what year it is. I think it was made in the mid 80's like yours because it has pretty much the same body style. His is all rusty, it has some dings and dents, some plastic is broke off toward the rear wheel well, it has cobwebs, the tires are flat, and it has been sitting there lately. Yet, it was only recently it stopped working (only needs new battery). That goes to show how reliable and high quality it is. Great vehicle. Nicely built.

Ihad a 85 and you could not kill it, I flipped it ,rolled it , hit a wall at about 20 mph, hill climbed, crossed creeks with water above gas tank, hauled a vw bug about two miles these things are tough.

I had an 84 and I rolled that thing off a pretty steep incline and bent the handlebars. I took it to the lake and put it in the water and the thing floated, with me off of it. I would jump hills with it, do wheelies until I scraped my back once. I treated it like dung and it kept coming back for more, great atv. I wish that I still had it.

I agree. Like I said, my grandpa has one. Its old, and he let it sit there for a while, but the thing still works great. Im only twelve, and it was so reliable to survive the 23 or 24 years so I could expierience the fun it brought. By the way wish me luck when I ask my grandpa to race me when I get my Raptor 700 I'm saving up for lol.

i got a 1983 honda bigred 200e and its been runing for years i fixed it up but i was riding it yesterday and it just like shut off it has spark has compression and has gas to the carb but wont get gas to the plug i tried starting fluid in the carb with the throttle wide open and it still wont run HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Try cleaning the carb, or putting gas where the plug goes. I usually just have to squirt a little gas in.

nice got the same thing but mine has a dent in the gas tank and its a little sraped up the only thing we put in it was a new carborator and three new tires ( kenda bear claws in the back and a kenda scorpien up front ) you cant kill big reds!!!

I have a 1983 honda big red 200 E and i was riding one day and it just like popped then shut off i checked the spark plug, the valves, the gas to the carb, clead out the carb and made sure it had great compression but it wont start does anyone know how to check the timming?
