Hero Editor is a great tool for d2. It's very newb friendly and anyone can pick it up and use. However cheat engine is universal therefore has a much higher value. Besides some of the things shown in the video cannot possibly be done in Hero Editor.

I found a new hero editor that lets all your stats be 99, yeah at first I was like bullshit or w/e but I guess its an algorithm or whatever you call it to determine what the stats are next in line anway my flame wall does approx 230k dmg per second so I just cast it though its still hard game you can solo it with out any gear. on hell.

Hero editor isn't better, its more simple to use than cheat engine because of the steps you have to do to make cheat engine work isn't in hero editor. But cheat engine has its benefits cause you literally get everyting infintely wheareas with hero editor it is limited.But with hero editor you dont have to gamble for rare items, you can make them all by yourself if you are willing to spend time to do it.

Cheat Engine is a great tool so is hero editor but I wouldn't compare the two. Both are meant to do different things. Cheat engine is for changing or freezing values in real time inside any running process. As far as I know it works on anything... assuming you know what you are doing and have the patience to find the right value you want to change. Hero editor is strictly for editing Diablo 2 .d2s save files but it's the best editor out there.
