Every one recovers around 250-400 hp with auto regen, now since this is almost at the end of the game the attacks of the boss are long and regen still carries on so by the time the attacks hits it only takes a few seconds for them to recover all HP.

Kuja was so fucking awesome.

Necron is okay.. but not on par with Kuja.

If we fought a huge god-like version of Kuja it would have been so much better.

Cant really say Necron ruined the ending.. but it gave such a moodswing to the game which i hated. From that mysterious crystal world, to that filthy, depressed hell where Necron reigned.

My ending: Kuja destroys the crystal with Ultima, somehow the power released from the crystal gets absorbed by Kuja and transforms in the final boss.

@pimpollito18 Its not hard at all to do max damage. Zidane does 9999 because he is level 99. Stiener has Ragnarok, and it is the second best sword for him. Garnet can do 9999 summon with 99 Garnet's. Obviously that's not a hack. =]

@pimpollito18 You can actually boost several characters to the point that they are guaranteed to deal 9999 DMG every turn - Zidane's "Thievery", Freya's "Dragon's Crest" and Quina's "Frog Drop", specifically.

Vivi and Steiner are also pretty much guaranteed max damage with Doomsday and Shock (try using Doomsday when all you characters have Shadow-absorbing equipment, that's sick! You basically heal all your characters to the max and hurt all the enemies like crazy at the same time).

Freya has an attack that's extremely easy to make it do 9999, costs very little MP, and does full damage regardless of status ailment. If shit really hits the fan, you can use jump to get her the hell out of there. Even without all that, she's an absolutely awesome character.

She can cast Regen on everyone with Reis's Wind, but that's it. The skill is Dragon's Crest which can be learned from Holy Lance (stolen from Ark early in the game or bought in Daguerro later) and Kain's Lance (found in Memoria). It's a somewhat hard steal, but I recommend getting it from Ark. Kill 100 dragons to make it hit full damage. Doing a bit of training on Grand Dragons above Gizamaluke's Grotto will get you there in no time.

One issue with FF9 was the tiny health caps on all the bosses.

just over 60,000hp isnt enough when even low level characters can pull off 9999hp hits with there best, but easily accessible moves

Kuja is very easy, especially if your overleveled. My average level on my 5th play through was 76, I can berserk all my guys at the beginning of battle and still win.
