Deadly video, i Just bought myself a playseat alcantara with seat slider/gearshift holder on amazon uk as it was cheaper than the playseat website i then got the G27 wheel on logitech.com with 35% off. Total cost = €597.00 euro (all free delivery). Everything arrived today so can't wait to set it up !!

Games are supperior on PC ,Ps3 /Xbox are used by budget gaming.

Modded F1 2011 is 3-4 times better than the Console version because you have Full HD 4096x4096 Cars + Updated tracks + Inproved Tires and the list could go on. No need to mention the AI Tweaks + Fuel Usage per lap cars horsepower the actual grip and so on.If you are true hardcore gamer you should play the games on PC not on the retarded consoles.

@08Dazza80 Depends on how good you are with a controller. G27 is much more precise for hitting the apex. I was 2 to 5 seconds quicker per lap depending on the track and how good I was on each particular track. It's much more fun with pedals and a wheel!

@mooneyaus - Yeh I thought the same for the first few days. The cars don't seem quite as fast and I'd prefer progressive traction control instead of Off, Medium and Full. I think I'm used to it now and KERS/DRS mapped to the steering wheel is a good feature. Stick with it mate and I'll no doubt catch you online someday. Mike.

@swigz991 Plug G27 into PS3, turn on ps3, access game but using G27 buttons and not a controller, the game should recognise the G27. If not go to options and you should be able to switch from controller to G27 there. When working go into advanced steering and map DRS and KERS onto steering wheel buttons. Hope that helps. BTW - I never turn my PS3 controller on so I'm only using G27 - I only play racing games. Good luck mate.

What a cool set-up you have! I've got a couple of questions if you don't mind? :)

1. I've also got a G27. I notice you didn't use any KERS or DRS here, but does the button set-up allow you to use the on-wheel buttons, cos I got so annoyed having to stretch across to the gearstick buttons for some things!

2. I've been considering getting a Playseat for ages now. Did you find them a good company to deal with? Was it much effort to put together? And I guess, does it fit the wheel and pedals well?

@F1Guru1992 - Hi mate, yes I do use KERS if you watch closely - all of it on one straight. And yes the buttons are on gearstick but I just played this out of the box so not tried to re-map them yet.

Play seat were excellent to deal with - but you can save money now as they're cheaper thru retailers. Also, if you can afford it, go for the new design with bar coming out from the seat and not in between your feet like mine is. If you watch my youtube review it will explain why. Have fun!
