I'm just curious as to how people are doing the conversion of controls & the driveline (I.E. Can you drive it like a "Normal Car" or is the throttle and gear shifting handled in a different way than a regular engined car?

I think i remember reading about this in a magazine and it's not 'actually' a Mini, it's a totally new (kit) car that just looks like a modified Mini. People have but Hayabusa and R1 engines in Minis though but it's difficult, especially getting a reverse gear! So they decided to just build something from the ground up.

Yeah it was for you, sorry I wasn't specific and I meant they have replaced everything, the gearbox and everything, therefore it's the Hayabusa motor gearbox as well, when he is shifting gears you can see that he just pushes the gearstick forward and back.....just like a motorbike gear selector....so it's the same gear ratio... :)

unrestricted the engine can get just over 200 mph i think. and loves to rev too. plus the fact its japanese means its pretty much bombproof. but kawasaki have brought out a quicker bike (Y) hopefully see some mini's running a zx1400r engine :)

The Hayabusa is Suzuki's fastest bike, I'd say its the fastest production bike, but that changes from year to year. The engine is a 4cyl 1300cc beast, that weighs almost nothing, and with modification

can put out 600hp+, and it red lines at 10,000rpm, its kind of like a mini indy car motor.

i put a gsxr1100 motor into a mini, people couldnt believe it when i smoked them off at the traffic lights, it sounded like a F1 car, and the sequencial gearbox was awesome, it was a chain drive cause you get more hp to the rear wheels than with a shaft drive.
