has anyone ever Youtubed a guy called Misha Katz? the ressemblance is striking between Nezet and Katz: same needless, grotesque gestures; same bullsh*t. Look him up!

I'm glad to see that the Rotterdam Symphony are recruiting ex-Mafia convicts, judging by his horrendous fashion sense... Time to have a long and hard look at yourself in the mirror Mr Seguin!
@mikabrains God knows I'm trying to stick to the music. but Mr Seguin ruins practically every performance he ever gives (not to mention interviews: the poor lad talks and thinks like a twat). Mr Seguin must feel eternally grateful to his agents for having such a 'successful' career. What do these agents see in him that is so promising? That is a question many of us ask ourselves.
Wow! Starting at 2:55 the conductor is over conducting and is too flamboyant in my opinion. He shouldn't become the center of attention. On the other hand though, the orchestra sounds great.

most of those old turds in audience hae no idea what they are seeing, hearing or experiencing. if you got business to do, are wealthy and retired, if you want to pretend to be a fan--then you are here. honestly i would be so fuckin aslep as to not even be woken by the constant coughing and old fart tendancies
a little too indulgent for my personal tastes. i think the soloists know how to phrase somethign without him waving a stick in their faces. int he second clip his passion and energy is great for the group though, that would sure fire me up.
what? I said "for my tastes". That means I recognize and respect that he could be a wonderful conductor from another musician's point of view. I also had 1 negative comment and 1 positive comment, so I can barely comprehend how that makes me a "negative classical snob". on the whole I admire his energy and conducting.
Always a fine line between leading and following. The classical dilemma for every conductor. As long as the outcome is fine, the method is unimportant. One should judge a conductor with your eyes closed :-)
@macedonwise What art Fool . This Fool Just Rolling and Showing Passion . haha Which you may have none is what i meant read Carefully next time... lol
Brilliant conductor. Thanks for the prom tonight. Pity about the catty comments - that's the Internet for you - from people with no life to lead themselves.
Let's instead be inspired and be great in our own way!

He looks like a kid and not like a Conductor. He is NO Dudamel. But for the Netherlands I am sure he is fine. Way too unsophisticated for New York.

@verygrumpyoldman thats terribly superficial. I suppose you dont like Paavo Jarvi because he looks like Putin? Stick to the music please.

I know him and he IS great! He always inspires the orchestra, the choir and the soloist, without mentioning the audience!

Whats happening with the phrasing? Its like conducting with the tape. No sense of form. Just a lots of huge movements and sweat.
