Two of my uncles served in Vietnam both came back. one was there for one tour of duty in 1965. the other two and a half tours before he was wounded by a landmine which took half of his right leg off. I have however lost a cousin in Iraq just over a year ago. I will Always Support the Mission He Died For and Never Forget Those who don't come back

1. For those sharp-eyed people who could catch it.
2. Because of its similar themes to many Vietnam movies, such as the pointlessness of rage-fueled violence and the effects on the human psyche of atrocity.

seka1986, that "Let's just nuke them" attitude is precisely what most of the world is afraid of regarding nuclear weapons. I for one think that Nuclear weapons are a LAST RESORT.
I'm not convinced that there will be much left at all in the world after we use them again.
Hopefully we never will.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but the song with Jim in the London streets was "East Hastings" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor, a Canadian post rock ensemble. John Murphy didn't do anything with it, and GY!BE didn't want to be on the soundtrack for personal reasons.

In a "weird" kind of way...I wish I was of fighting age to serve in Vietnam to fight along side my fellow countrymen. And on that note, I wish I could be in Iraq or Afghanistan doing the same thing.
