I wrote songs for and named the band Nickelback & co-founder of Roadrunner Recs. I named the Dark Horse album for George Harrison's (The Beatles) '74 album of the same name. This was years after I wrote Material Girl for Madonna inspired by George Harrison's album titled "Living in the Material World". Chad takes his stage name for Chad Channing formerly of Nirvana. I was discovered by Joe Elliott of Def Leppard at age 15 in 1983. 2 Ricks in Def Lep & there were 2 Ryans in Nickelback.
