@DA1LY6969 Your ignorance shows through with comments like “today’s music.” Max/Soulfly’s music is a THROWBACK to the late 80s metal when bands like Excel and Max’s prior band, Sepultura, ruled. They were protégés playing similar style music albeit with vastly different vocal styles. How can you enjoy Excel-era music and not Soulfly? You’re a stereotypical old dick who writes off all “new” music. This cover pays homage to a very under-rated band & hopefully gets some new kids into Excel too!

@DA1LY6969 Max Cavalera was in Sepultura, one of the most badass bands ever. And he formed Soulfly in the mid 1990s, before the rot set in. If Bullet For My Valentine covered this song, I'd have ripped my ears out

@DA1LY6969 : I totally understand what you mean. I hate this new shit too, but on the other hand i think that it's cool to see that they finally get some attention from a well-known band. I mean...Excel never got the attention they deserved. I met Max Cavalera back in '91 after a Sepultura gig and he came up to talk to me because i was wearing a GBH-shirt. He was really into punk/hc/crossover, so i understand his choice to cover Excel. I don't like Soulfly at all, but it could have been worser!
