  • Auch nach all den Jahren immer wieder geil.

  • Wonder what Carl McCoy looks like now?

  • @angduffy1 He looks SMOKING HOT!!!! *drool* And he looks very fuckable too.

  • @HyperHare He's older than me cant still look that good.

  • @HyperHare hes a strange little old fella now sadly. i used to love his music. he wets himself now

  • @angduffy1 He's barely changed.

  • I remember seeing this lot ( well just throu all the dry ice) in the late 80's at the UEA, jesus they were loud!

  • No offense to Pantera fans, but I think The Nephilim are the real Cowboys From Hell...

  • Not really steampunk (which I love), but I love the Wild West of it!

  • I've been looking for that hat? Anyone know where? O_o

  • @zsupersaiyan You are totally correct. Chuck Norris also gets quite worried and nervouse when he hears them. Apparently though Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were their Mentors when they first started.

  • great powerful stuff. bit like justin bieber . only jokin lol

  • Can anybody tell what is behind the zone perimeter sign at 3:33 ?

  • campy...but fun.

  • Even Marylin Manson gets scared of Fields of Nephilim videos

  • my teacher preaches too much..im soo gonna play this to her..awesome band and song , i have the LP btw

  • Keep Talkin........I agree with joey4245...they were the last proper Goth band...now there is no more music of this genre left...its finished...it was really a passing fad like all great music trends....unfortunately people turned into a 'lifestyle' thing..drinking blood..all manner of rituals etc...you see these sad people still wearing the close they were in their late teens/early twenties....though now they are in their forties or whatever

  • Keep Talkin........

  • there should be more goth bands like Fields of the Nephilim

  • me gusta mucho fields of the nephilim

  • Known fact: Putting a chainsaw in a video instantly raises the "cool" factor.

  • Fields of the Nephilim are the last truly big Goth band. Who took it as far as anyone did with centralised imagery and a determinedly inward looking sound.

  • Wow! One of my favoured songs when I was young. First time I see this video. It's excellent, just excellent. Will never forget me back in 1989 on London's "Gossips" dancefloor

  • A good friend of mine from college turned me onto this band many years ago. I was a metalhead, he wasn't, but he played this for me one day saying it was "about as close to metal as I get." We jammed to them on numerous occasions afterward. James passed away 20 years ago today. R.I.P. brother.

  • gav...cool i never knew that

  • Who wants to go find an old club in the middle of some shady town and just dance to this song? lol

  • Ah bliss. Music to my ears :D))))

  • I was a mutant in this video, I don't remember why though, it was a freezing day on a farm near St Albans outside London, I remember we went to the pub for our lunch all dressed up in our gear, it was a real low budget job with Richard Stanley directing, this was his first music promo, pretty fucked up day really.

  • First Wave "Steam Punk", but with an all together different bent. Still amoung my favorite bands even after all these years.

  • @Synnystr it wasn't steam punk. it was gothic rock with a post apocalyptic western vibe. they didn't glue clock parts to their hats. what is it that everything that has a 19th century vibe is labeled as some form of steampunk these days?

  • great intro.hehe...i ve always liked the gutar riff in this song.one of their best.

  • Love the dusty image <3

  • i want those boots so badly!

  • dfreak2000 its already been done with Carl McCoy and the movie was called Hardware

  • @garyinwiltshire I think 3dfreak lives in the USA where the movie 'Hardware' was released as 'MARK 1'.

  • dfreak2000

  • BADASSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • *...good old days *. solo looks like the song of The Sisters *First and Last and Always*

  • when i typed nephilim for images on google i founted this handsome guy with long hair from this band .

i never hearted before of their music .

Can someone give me information of the frontman please .

    Thanks allot !

    greats from Belgium !

    Aurore Andréa Gislaine Duquenne ;)

  • @MsDuquenne once they broke up after a few years CARL McCOY started up band called the NEFILIM so try that.Hope this is of help, i might have wrong spelling though. Thank you for finding an enjoying the same music i did, they were one band i wish i could have seen, they were the ones who openned my heart body and soul 2 goth music.ENJOY, best wishes

  • Great song (my fave FoN song) and an ace video - like a mini movie almost \m/

  • ive seen justin biebers bottom

  • @xneilp who cares

  • It could be a very cool character for the game Fall Out New Vegas. A post apocalyptic preacher living a scorched church in the middle of Wasteland. The look is perfect to include him in the game. BTW I like Fields of Nephilim as like Sister of Mercy , which is very similar in style.

  • @3dfreak2000 I'm actually working on the script for the first issue of a post-apocalyptic comic series I'm doing with a friend, and I'm considering including a character pretty similar to that, and based on Carl McCoy's look, at some point.

  • Take a Jodorowsky movie... add a bit of radioactivity-paranoia... Talk about that with heavy guitars and a strain beat !

  • Respond to this video... makes me wish i was back over the other side of the pond ......those were happy dark days

  • This group was one of my favourite bands years ago and they still send shivers down my spine! They were awesome on disc and more so live. Makes me wish I was Dr Who

  • es buena esta banda pero prefiero temas mas parecidos a los del disco de moonchild

  • It's a shame gothic rock doesn't seem to appeal to a lot of people - this is really great music.

  • O som é espetacular, mas o video é uma tosqueira de lascar.....

  • Awesome song and band.

  • I love The Nephilim. This is still amazing after all these years.

  • To me best band ever after The Mission Uk and Bauhaus though with a clearly different sound. Not many other bands could create the feeling of speed and power and darkness all together. Their live performances though I never see them live look and sound awesome till today.

  • Man, I miss my childhood lol

  • @rostudios

Me too, such a great song.

  • i cant believe these guys didnt make it big----these songs rock!!

  • I saw these guys back in 1989 at the original 9:30 club in Washington DC they double billed with Skinny Puppy and these guys opened the night. They scared the shit outta' me..I was all stoned and buzzed and didn't know what to think about these guys. I betcha Rob Zombie and Slip Knot listened to these guys.

  • what the fuck.... i really long time i dont listen this spaguetti western sound... thats fucking crazy... thanks man

  • this music isnt really my sort of thing

but people need to cut the religious bull crap and just listen to the music, the band and song might have had a religous meaning but probably not, they just made music that they liked

  • Comment removed

  • Elysium for transgressors.....

  • Fuck...Nod...was the youngest drummer EVER...but boy could the kid/geezer play!!!! Amazing drums on every track they ever did!!

  • I think Dawn Razor was the first Album I catually brought with my first wages as an adult....what an album....I loved Dust.....and I loved Burning the Fields EP.....Yes...I still remember, my youth

  • cant see westlife covering this one

  • The Fields Of The Nephilim (in folklore) was a place where giants went to die, or have I got that completely wrong?

    Great band :)

  • Does anybody know if there is something like a linking story between the several videos? Because at the end of this one, McCoy is hung up and in the "Blue Water" vid he seems to have some kind of resurrection. Or is one vid independent from the other?

  • @anulupongopongo The Magus (or Preacher) becomes the Hanged Man and travels from Strength to Splendour through the Abyss (a.k.a Primeval waters a.k.a Blue water) A lot of Caballah here but thats how i like to augment my imagination and enjoy the video clips more.

  • another song that evokes the whole religous debate. for me its just a song that i enjoy jamming loudly. peace to all

  • Does someone can't upload the song TREE COMES DOWN??

    PLEASEEE!!

  • Bloody Hell people it's just a band name, take your damn stupid religious views somewhere else. Preferably some silly Christian band where I don't have to read it. Everyone knows that Band's associated with the Goth or Death Rock subculture have odd names, it doesn't mean anything.

  • hannahr77, learn to spell, then learn about the world, maybe do a science course. Then come back and have an adult conversation.

  • hannahr77 have you any idea how arrogant you sound? Go and shove your religion where the sun don't shine and leave the music videos to people who like music.

  • awa

I do like music my dear lost friend, and if I sound arogant well then sorry but truth it truth

  • awa

hmm seems like the arrogant 1 is you, now read this, JESUS elsker dig selv om du ikke vil vide af HAM, men en dag vil du se HAM ansigt til ansigt jeg håber bare at du er frelst førend det sker

  • i see the usual assortment of bashing and languages i cant read. lol alot. alla i know is that this song fits me well. with love.

  • shut up, christfag.

    your god does not exist.

  • Hello Hannah

I am also a Christian and have been for a long time I also love fields of the nephilhim. Yes they are not exactly pro Christian but songs like fallen and last exit for the lost touch me spiritually in a very possitive way. When I dance to those songs I feel in touch with God even if that is not what the band intended. BTW threatening people with meeting their maker does not enamour them towards asaid maker.

  • stomp

So you love this kinda music and feel close to GOD when you dance to it, and you know for sure that GOD feels close to you when you listen and dance to this kinda music? I am not threatening I am telling the truth and that's not a threat its a guaranty, we all have to stand before our maker when we die, even you

  • Hannah,

but Man is sinful and should not pursue closeness to God before he had purged his sins. Therefore in today's times, art should first pursue waking the Human in those who are human only by name and beast by nature, (which is often the intention of provocative music acts such as this), and only then can the Human pursue a fulfillment of his godly spark, seek closeness to God.

  • terry

I know that Man is sinful by nature but listen to this does not make it any better, and that's why I really don't understand how stompy thinks that she honour GOD by listen and dancing to this kinda music as if GOD where deaf and blind, seek first the KINGDOM of GOD, should be our first priority

  • But can finding the Kingdom of God be a priority' - once we had reached it, we would not need anything else, would we? And how would one seek God if their mind is numb and eyes blind? As I said, I believe the purpose of this music (given it has any; for if it doesn't, it would be no more sinful than so many purposeless items of worldly vanity) is not to corrupt, but to provoke - in other words, to strengthen the soul, and awaken the mind. And is this not the path of God?

  • terry

4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain

GOD wiped them of the face of the earth, but not Noah

  • bad

yes I know and agree with you

  • @badboimatt675 SHUT UP

  • As first as I remember, my maker was my mom and dad :)

  • Remain ignorant, just don't display your ignorance for all the world to see. The day you can prove that your god exists is the day you can open your mouth without shame.

  • ♥♥♥♥♥

Geniale Musik. Gar furchtbare Bilder. Arrrrrr.

  • @Dagget - Himmel, wovon redest Du o_O ?!?

Das ist eine Reminiszenz an Gore- oder Splatter-Filme. 10.000 Maniacs, Reanimator, etc. Die sehen nun mal so aus. Fields of the Nephilim haben doch sogar einen Song namens Reanimator! Und Carl McCoy hat in einem (späten) gespielt, M.a.r.k. 13.

Also sei nicht so erschüttert ;) - nix für ungut

  • Fucking awesome!

  • Thank you nephilimfan for posting this but I want to give a shot out to Dresdendoll for original post taken down by youtube for copyright violation. I am sure the artists had nothing to do with this and am confident this amazing video will be up for all to see for a long time.

  • 2:21....zz top much? lol

  • 1:53 one of my fravourite moments.

  • We don't need no contamination.........

  • Al Jourgensen and Johhny Depp...HAHAAHAHA!!!!

    Excellent description,dude!

  • no disrespect mean't by that last comment by the way...The Field Of The Nephilim were a dark and sinister breath of fresh air at that period of time in UK music history...I'm a Metalhead, and found them strangely attractive way back in '84...

  • @Dreddloxx Not really a strange thing considering that metal and goth have similar subject matter and atmosphere at times.

  • The Mission...On Meth-Amphetamine...;-)

  • amazing, and going to see them so long ago is still one of the highlights of my life.

  • Absolutely fan-goddamn-tastic. The kind of vid that just doesn't get made anymore. Kind of music that doesn't get made anymore too, really.

  • El arpegio de entrada es una maravilla...

  • Cowboy goth?

  • yeah we used to call it spaghetti-goth... :)

  • no one got the official blue water vid ?

  • What's the official blue water vid,mate...? Just curious...

  • great video and great song from a great band, thanks

  • Richard Stanley directed this, you can see so much of what he would put into Hardware and Dust Devil. Wish I had the lead singer's eye gear!

  • Great bass

  • great track !
