Ok...You obviously have not... this is a 2007 911 turbo 997.1. This model was in production from 2007 -2009 then the 997.2 911 turbo was introduced in 2010.( people took delivery in sumer of 2009... The option you are referring to PorscheDoppelkupplung was introduced to production models in 2010 on the 997.2. triptonic ( an updated version was introduced on the 2007 model as the pdk box was not strong enough to with stand the power.

Best supercar in the world one can use as a daily driver. Most fun; outstanding quality and superb driving characteristics. In short, the Type 997 911 Turbo is the best car in the world.
Maybe this is still true, but at least with the R8, GT-R (and even perhaps the ZR1) the 911 Turbo finally has some competition as top daily driver super car in the world.
However, I think the new M3 will give it a run for the overall best in the world title.
I've owned multiple BMWs. No comparison to the 2009 911 Turbo I bought earlier this year. BMW M3 is a fine machine, but it's lacking depth-of-character, which the Porsche has in spades. GT-R is automatic only (not for me); the R8 cannot be had with a sunroof (essential where I live) and the ZR-1 is entirely too yahoo (although pretty cool for what it is).
GT-R is only automatic? I dunno man i could have sworn ive seen one with manual transmission before, and i could easily go google it right now but atm its not that important to me.
Oooo ok i realized what i was confused about, i knew they had the paddle shifter but i forgot you could probably mean stickshift. Damn man that sucks.
Totally agree fuht, 997 911 turbo is by far my first choice of car if someone asks me if i could have any car in the world, and what would it be lol. But yes, some competition now *rubs hands together* tehehe we will see :P.
@JET997u I agree it's superbly nice. But what I find most amazing is that, in my words, it's the wrongest and the most correct supercar. The concept is from 1968, if i'm not wrong, the engine is in the wrong place, boxers usually have less torque than straights and V's and, yet, it's one of the best supercars in the world.
