  • This is so sad. Bengal Tiger was a great restaurant. I so hope the owner had copies of all the photos he had on the walls of himself with famous people.

  • i live in whiteplains and i saw the fire

  • We loved Bengal Tiger. It was a great indian restaurant. It is sad to see it go. I hope they had insurance and will reopen soon.

  • I was the last & the only guy to dine in bengal tiger. Around 2:20 the server smelled something and he ran towards kitchen to check. Few min later, some employees ran to the basement and said there is a smoke there. Meanwhile, the owner called the 911 clearly explained the situation.I finished at 2:28 and I paid and tipped them at 2:30 PM. By then the firefighters were there immediately after I came out & went back to my work.I felt sad for those who served me sweetly.

  • @muthushiv Wow! That is unbelievable. I guess it didn't seem too serious at first. I see it is still smouldering this AM.

  • @rjwiesenberg. Around 2:20 I smelled as if some coal or cable burnt smell. Since, Kitchen was free from any incident, the guy asked me to finish my meal. I really thought it was some baby fire because of excessive heat and some electric load. When I was having my desert, the room had smoke, but none of the employees were really agitated as they also thought it can be extinguished (by firefighters). That is why I was also cool. I didnt thought it would be this worse. Food was awesome there

  • THANKS FOR POSTING I USED TO LIVE HERE AND GOT FAM UP THERE THANK YOU SO MUCH
