I don't understand why you would spend your money on something like that it has only one purpose if I buy a Cold Steel anything I ask myself okay what all can I use this for and if it makes sense then I make the purchase!
@PEREZCHOOCH You obviously have no idea how much this costs. about 10$, which is a bit surprising. I buy throwing weapons from cold steel for throwing them and with the expectation that they will last a long time, I usually don't use them for cutting as they aren't sharpened for cutting.
@TheNickhis So what your saying is you'd rather own a shank that you can throw, I'm sorry but that still doesn't make any freaking sense to me see my philosophy is if your in a life & death situation you should never throw your weapon like your some kind of damn ninja cause when you do that you end up without a weapon basically you have disarmed your self for the assailant this is a simple rule for US Rangers training keep your blade close to your body at all times and strike when ready!
@PEREZCHOOCH That's a big stretch of what I said. Cold Steel sells throwing knives, which are knives designed to be thrown, most likely recreationally. Not all knives made by Cold Steel are specifically designed for "life & death situations". And I think you've played a little too much Modern Warfare. Until you have learned the Fedin System, you will never know the efficiency of knife throwing in self-defense. And you're also assuming that the knife thrown is the only weapon on you.
@TheNickhis First of all I don't really play COD and I'm just telling you what I've learned in Brazilian Martial Arts Knife Fighting also me personally I would go for my Ruger LCP .380 auto with Hollow Points and the Crimson Trace Laserguard if needed!
@PEREZCHOOCH More power to you. If you have that gun available all the time (legible for a concealed weapons permit) that would not be a bad idea lol. Many martial arts that teach knife fighting are right when they're talking about the knife throwing impracticality, because the Fedin System only came into existence about a year or 2 ago, and few know enough about it. You learn to throw just about anything that has a point and has a somewhat straight profile with very little and slow rotation.
@TheNickhis Yes I have my weapons permit, You sound like you really know your stuff when it come's to point throw weapons I'm not going to lie that's pretty badass and if you feel comfortable enough to use your technique more power to you bro but I do hope you use my system if someone ever tried to hurt you up close!
@PEREZCHOOCH It's the potential of the throwing system that's powerful, but I still have so much to learn. I'll probably have to go all the way to Russia from the US and learn from Yury Fedin himself lol
It's a fiberglass reinforced plastic called Grivory. The handle is made out of Kraton. All of their nightshade series products are made out of the same, with the exception of the Delta Dart which is a plastic called Zytel.
Grivory, Black as a moonless night, silent as the grave, and totally undetectablethese are the qualities that make up our new lightweight Nightshade™ series. Most are detailed reproductions of existing Cold Steel favorites and some are new designs representing the newest trends in high-tech, covert construction. Made from Grivory™— the latest in fiberglass reinforced plastic, and stronger than even the super tough Zytel. They also have a metal version called the Urban Dart.
I have no idea. Tried to google if it's a throwing knife or good for it, but I still haven't got an idea. I can't possibly be good as a normal knife, due to the weird small handle.
Works like a bo-shuriken too

I really think it's a throwing knife.

I beg to differ.
It's to light for throwing. And it will not keep an "edge" or sharp point if you strike hard surface.
It's merely meant as a backup-weapon for thrusting, which can be concealed. With the metal ring removed it's "invisible" to metal-detectors.
I regard it as a toy for wannabe-agents or armchair-ninjas...
...might be a nice letter-opener, though.
For serious use I suggest a real knive.
