  • do these guys need a hide or no?

  • PACMAN CURB STOMP!!!!

  • Hey man ur from canada?? if so what part?? how much are these pac's usually go for??

  • @kalltvatten no problem

  • @kalltvatten uhm, they are fine with a coco husk or like eco earth substrate for the whole tank.

I don't feed mine crickets anymore... because he's so lazy he won't even chase after them anymore. He mostly eats superworms, and on occasion butter worms, and wax worms. Your pacman will enjoy pinkies, but like you said, vary the diet. If you can do a few days crickets, super worms, and pinkies, and rotate them around.

  • @Kollindyr Is plantaions soil the same as eco earth plantaion you get from the pet store in the block add water it falls apart!! same?? also is that all you use for the substrate cause i heard keep a good portion dry and the outher wet!! fill me in on the whole set up temp humidity etc!!! im think n on getting one!!

  • @Hadsatriani yes plantation soil is basically the same thing, it can be used. Actually, that is what I am using now. Alot of people use spagnhum moss on the side, but for the most part it's pretty wet. Humidity should be at around 70% at all times, he is a frog afterall. And the heat anywhere from 80ish+ should be sufficient. They are very hardy creatures.

  • @Kollindyr thanks bro!!!!

  • Ok, nice one.

One question about it... I heard these guys pee and poop smells very aggressive. True or not?

I am thinking about getting one but I don't want a stinker in my living room. ;)

  • not true at all, I have smelled no odors from his cage at all.

The only smell (and that is if i go right up to it) is the smell of the coconut bedding. Also spot clean!

  • oh ok thanks so just once aday or do you mist twice? and do you spray the side of the tank or you do over the substrate as well? Yah I didnt think heating light would be good for them...yah I saw the vid when you first got him and how he looks now...so how is he doing?

  • Depends, sometimes I mist two times a day if it looks like it's getting a bit dry... sometimes only one time during the night. I mist the whole enclosure, all sides, and the substrate. He's doing fine... nice and fat (and lazy) lol

  • nice pacman frog!!! I have an empty 5g that I used to house my female budgett frog in no she is in a 10g they have an albino pacman frog at my local aqaurium shop it is small maybe like the size of a quarter...how often to you mist so a small heating pad should work on a 5g right since the heat should only be on one side?

  • I mist him daily, make sure you get moist bedding like coco husk etc.

A heating pad is all you need, no lamps cuz you dont want to dry out their skin. I got mine as a baby, he's gotten pretty big now.

  • Dude, My pac man just sit's there untill one goes by, wish i had you're =p

  • Mine is lazy now, he is past him prime... now he is lazy and I need to wave food infront of his fat mouth for him to eat.

  • You have a sexy voice :D

  • Yes, I know, thank you for noticing.

  • LOL I wasn't actually expecting you to answer that :D

  • Juveniles should be fed daily, while adults can be fed every 2-3 days... dust calcium every other feeding.

They need a heating pad on one side, DO NOT use heating lamps.

Have fun with your new pacman!

  • actually i prefer to use heat lamps on my frog i use a 40 watt sun glo compact bulb and it keeps it stable around 78-82 degrees just never use anything above 40 and make sure its incadesent if it is over 40

  • you have a great forg there. i have a cranwelli that doesnt eat and a fantasy that does, but he doesnt chase after the food like yours!!

  • I'll consider it when I get back from my trip...

    Thanks for the comment!!

  • Any reptile or petstore... even Petco or Petsmart should have it...

Just look for calcium dust with D3 and you'll be set.

  • Wow nice pacman they usually just sit there and wait.

  • He does that now... with age, they become even more lazy and dormant.

  • I advise you get some dust asap... in long term, he will not live a long life...

  • I dust every other meal because the frogs need calcium and minerals.

Without that, you'll have a dead frog.

    Crickets alone cannot provide that.

  • Cornuta is a locality of the pacman frog. You'll have to do some research to find some of those...

  • awesome frog

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks for commenting.

and yeah, theyre great frogs :D

  • wicked vid m8 love the colours on the frog ;)

  • we old can a frog go?

    Around ~6 years.
