There's counter measure and counter-measure, ad infinitum. All the enemy has to do is slip a few "real" warheads in the decoy population. That was figured out years ago = MIRV. So far as ground based lasers; they have difficulty propogating high energy through the atmosphere. The KE weapon avoids nuclear effects on sensors.

The problem he sees in it is that what if you got 8 kill vehickles and the enemy uses 8 drones for each warhead, then on average you will kill 1/8 of the warheads. If the kill vehickles could spot a difference between drone and warhead it would be 100%.
So while it is not a problem as long as:
KIll vehickles = warheads + drones
it is a problem when:
Kill vehickles < warheads+drones

Well, it's not a problem as long as we have lots of these things, and in addition, these things are meant to shoot down warheads in orbit, as well as countermeasures, so when it all falls back to earth, our current defense missiles and lasers can shoot down the actual warheads significantly easier. That's what they mean, does that seem a bit more logically correct?

to watch what is going on around the world you would watch a world wide news channel. the only time when something in the national news channel shows something global is when americans are involved or when america itself is involved.
