You are talking about apples and oranges in the case of the massive empire which was Austria-Hungary. Well before its demise it was obvious to anyone with a clue that isolated Hungarian populations would run a major risk of being severed from the national state which emerged.
This is a very different case from the Serb population in Kosovo which had been subjected to more than 5 centuries of genocide and counting.
You're right in some aspects, however the Hungarian population was not isolated in most lands. Take the settlements in Southern Slovakia for example, the majority is still Hungarian, despite the massive deportations, and forced movings. There are villages in that region founded by Hungarians, but no one cared when they drew the borders. Kosovo is maybe the cradle of Serbia, but it's an independent state now and Serbia could not do anything to change this.

Albanians has ALWAYS been an majority in Kosova. Lacking any document which would prove the liquidation or the emigration of the local Illyrian population in the course of Slavonic invasions, it is natural to think that during the Late Middle Ages Kosova, like all of Albania, has had mainly an Illyrian population, that is, Albanian.

I am not albanian i am afro caribbean, but even i know that the conflict in kosovo which was part of serbia, was set up by the financial powers of europe, who funded the guy that has been arrested today and also persuaded kosovans to go independent to infuriate albanians. The plan was to bring in european bankers money and companies to reconstruct and therefore control kosovo which has rich resources just like iraq, therefore the guy they arrested today was a puppet of jewish bankers.

You're wrong when it comes to Kosovo! Kosovo was FORCED to be a part of Serbia(1913) without the ppl of it wanting to be a part of Serbia! Serbs in Kosovo were supported by their regim which controlled the whole Kosovo. In this way Serbs did whatever they wanted with the Albanian civilians: killed,masacrated and tourted them in many ways.

Nonsense. Before 1981 35 % (1700s) to 15 % (1901) Serbs lived inside Kosovo - Albanians became dominant later on. I do not deny Albanian population though - you should not deny Serbian population. I am not Serbian, I am not anti-Albanian, but I am anti-globalism and anti-international-intervention by random action of NATO, Russia, EU or others.

Kosova Pavarsi! First off i want to state, the future will be bright..Time is our only enemy now and being a "frozing conflict" is way out of propotions. Which means no war and the benefits that come out of this situation only means prosperity. Its hard to get back on your feet after the occupation and destruction of the serbian gorvernemt.But with the help of UN and US(importing billions),if EU in kosovo wont steal it, then will be right back to the western world. All we need is for the US to get Obama in and he will pull NATO and US troops out of Kosovo and allow the Serbs and Albanians to sort things out ;)...All i have to say, is that hell is awaiting Albanians. Whatsoever instead of saing the same hostile prespective to each-other, lets introduce a better one, or lets put it in another way: Kosovo does not belong to Albania, nor Serbia; whatsoever it is like a child to both countries. So in a way we have a child together and instead of aiming at a violent divorce. We need to get together and decide what is better for our child instead of mutalating it and spliting it in two.

Well, international law is written by victors, and protests are useless. Most countries don't give a f**k about what Serbs want. Just like the ignored Hungary in 1918, when 3,3 million Hungarian lost their country due to the Trianon treaty. No one cared. Serbs experienced the very same thing. They may think and say "Kosovo je Srbija", but that won't change the fact that 43 country officially recognized Kosovo, as an independent country. History is written by armies, not lawyers...

You are talking about apples and oranges in the case of the massive empire which was Austria-Hungary. Well before its demise it was obvious to anyone with a clue that isolated Hungarian populations would run a major risk of being severed from the national state which emerged.
This is a very different case from the Serb population in Kosovo which had been subjected to more than 5 centuries of genocide and counting.

You're right in some aspects, however the Hungarian population was not isolated in most lands. Take the settlements in Southern Slovakia for example, the majority is still Hungarian, despite the massive deportations, and forced movings. There are villages in that region founded by Hungarians, but no one cared when they drew the borders. Kosovo is maybe the cradle of Serbia, but it's an independent state now and Serbia could not do anything to change this.

Dear Joe, nothing you wrote changes the fact you are talking about 2 very different situations. Austria-Hungary Empire collapsed largely due to its enslavement of native populations who physically liberated themselves, cutting off compacted regions of Hungarians from the national state. In the case of Kosovo-Metohija, you are talking about provinces of Serbia that had been occupied by no less than 4 major imperialist foreign powers and their allies (all antiSerb) in the course of five centuries.

I agree that the way kosovo became independent is different. All I'm saying is that the leading countries (US, UK, France..etc) don't care about historical, cultural, or ethnical considerations, when they decide wether or not a state should be independent. Also I know that almost every nation thinks Hungary was an equal party in the Monarchy. That was not the case. We were punished for a war wich was started by Austria, and people said Hungarians were slavers tough they lived under Austrian rule

The 3 permanent members declaring their sponsorship of Greater Albania as legitimate cannot do anything about the fact that most of the world does not share their ambitions, largely because the move has destabilised the planet, including the countries behind the move. Kosovo today is a word synonomous with Sudetenland.
