@GunZenBomZ Nice to know bacause I was thinking this device would be great for people that perfer to hitchhike if the device has difficulty tracking at highway speeds then it could be a problem for this segment of the market. Let me know if this problem has been resolved.
I have a PN-40. Most of the time it couldn't get any satellite signal. It is also not userfriendly. I have compared it with my Garmin. While my Garmin worked like a charm, my PN-40 was still searching for satellite signals (that it never got). Sorry to say, it's a piece of crap.
I think they could have done way better on packaging instead of this monster size GPS with an external SPOT messenger. Not really impressed on the device size.
This is such BS. I was part of the Delorme's PN-60 Beta group until I offered too much criticism! Then they kicked me out. I find it funny how the Beta group STILL has yet to receive their units to test but this schelpp has one to show on camera. Also, he says that it saves space in your backpack, because it is two devices in one. Well, it looks like it is actually two devices in two!
PN-60W!
not PN-60

@elkantler75 for voice communications yes, however for txt msg it is not so bad with redundant transmissions it will save lives.
