Sometimes we make stupid decisions that have great costs and we don't realize it until it is too late. I think this is sad no matter what your ethnicity is. Don't you agree?

This movie gets me every time. I love this movie so much. Vanilla Sky is one of my favorite movies because it reveals real life at the same time that its not... I can barely watch it anymore, its heartbreaking. I make myself watch it but it really makes me cry a river every time i watch it. When i was little i wanted to live forever. This movie made me think about that.The thing i hate is that my friends have no idea what this movie is (cause im only11) & they have no idea what a good movie is.

the ones who say this is an epic film, well seems like they havent seen the original version, ABRE LOS OJOS. If you see the original film, you will realize that the hollywood version, vanilly sky, is just rubbish, like most remakes hollywood make. So, Abre Los Ojos is the master piece.

I've seen Abre Los Ojos, and I respectfully disagree. Admittedly I saw Vanilla Sky first (which obviously makes me biased). I can't honestly say I liked the original all that much. VS always hit me like a freight train, but I felt almost nothing in Abre Los Ojos. Cesar was a jerk and had poor chemistry with Sofia, makes the film fall apart. And Sofia (Penelope being the only reason I could sit through Abre) felt like part of the landscape. And VS had Kurt Russell.
