  • A very moving video. Gregory was a true rugby league loose forward - tough, hard running, fit and aware. Always gave 100%. His coaching career looked to be promising as well, before his illness. A tragedy that the man died so young.

  • Nice tribute on BBC1 today during the half-time break in the Wales v South African Rugby Union match. I grew up in Warrington and moved to Auckland where I first met Mike when he captained the Lions on the 1990 tour.

    He was a true great in every sense of the word. I can't believe he's been taken from us at just 43 years of age...absolutely tragic. God bless him. He'll never be forgotten. Michael Charnley-Heaton
