LEGEND. I'm from Workington but I always followed this Warrington Wire hero. A true ambassador for our great game. The most moving video on youtube. RIP.
i am not sure what people know what sport is? at the time of posting this is 14 peoples favorite. what a shame, this is the stuff of legend. love you mike!
i never knew mike gergory as player i ethier wasnt born or was to young to remeber but i do remeber him coaching wigan he was a brave man and will never be forgotten
A very moving video. Gregory was a true rugby league loose forward - tough, hard running, fit and aware. Always gave 100%. His coaching career looked to be promising as well, before his illness. A tragedy that the man died so young.
a true ledgend in every sense.. although im a football fan through and through he was a true great its a terrible lose to all that know him he had the courage to attempt the great north run in his condition... that takes pure courage, and a brilliant man...
Nice tribute on BBC1 today during the half-time break in the Wales v South African Rugby Union match. I grew up in Warrington and moved to Auckland where I first met Mike when he captained the Lions on the 1990 tour.
He was a true great in every sense of the word. I can't believe he's been taken from us at just 43 years of age...absolutely tragic. God bless him. He'll never be forgotten. Michael Charnley-Heaton
He may be a Warrington legend but find a single Wigan fan that doesnt love this guy then I will literally eat my hat.
True RL Legend
RIP He's still missed by all those in Wigan
