The lower right says it's printed by the Ad Council. The full text says "One nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all." The text under the eagle at the bottom says "SEPTEMBER 11, 2001"
Texas is not the only state wanting/ mentioned removing it U.S. state status..I heard Califorina had some idea of splitting up the state into 3 part..Did you here about that?
In Maryland, all non-essential food items were taxed. So lots of food, especially bread, milk, eggs, etc were tax free. "Luxury" foods like frozen precooked dinners, sodas, fast food, all restaurant foods, were taxed. Here in Ohio, all foods are tax-free if you take them with you - all groceries, even fast food is tax-free if you get it to go. If you choose "eat in" though, it's taxed. All sodas are taxed here also regardless of whether you take them to go or not.
I think that their choice to run such a campaign may be in some way related to that topic, yes. I'm not stating it as a fact, just as a possibility. It seems to have been chosen at quite an opportune time.
It actually reminds me of when I lived in Baltimore, over the big cameras they had mounted to record everybody they had black signs with big bold white letters that said "BELIEVE." Which in turn reminds me of the signs in "They Live" that said things like "OBEY" and "SLEEP."
people talk about how martial law can't happen, but in Baltimore City it was major news that they were considering declaring martial law in certain areas because of the drugs and gang activity and such. Years ago, back before I was born, in one area of the city this one particular gang was so powerful they eventually had to send in police in what amounted to a short war where they just wiped this gang out. From people I knew who lived under this gang, it was necessary, sadly enough.
as per martial law...it is pretty much ALWAYS on the verge of being declared, and has been done more than enough times on city-wide scales already. They are going to have proper martial law once the inevitable civil war comes.
hey, is Baltimore really as hardcore as the TV show "the wire" makes it seem, have you seen the show "the wire"?
I know that many, well most if not all TV shows are made for propaganda and mind controlling the masses, maybe they put all that violence and drug crime and hellish living on "the wire" so the general population will think, "Something needs to be done in cities like that!" So they won't think twice when the military is sent right into cities like Baltimore.
I haven't seen the show, but some areas of Baltimore are quite hellish. I did security work in one apartment complex where people sold crack openly in public right outside in the daytime, and some 6 year old got shot and killed for having the bad luck of riding past at the wrong time. I demanded they never post me there again. Can you believe they had the nerve to ask me why?
Probably nothing. But I'm pretty sure that the ads are specifically to "combat" all the talk of secession, regardless of whether or not it has a chance or would make a difference.
i recognize your voice from calling bullshit on Chris

I know Az. where I live at has been bitching about being broke for over 3 years now..
The people have asks for a 1 cent food tax to help out..
It on the new a least 2 times a month..
We have no grocery tax right now... just fast food & dinnng locations etc tax food sales. Grocery stores tax beer, liqour & cigarettes.
All other products have a 8.5% sales tax
something is up..

the message is 'stop thinking and dont fuck with us'
TheWiretap 2 years ago
That was pretty much my assumption.

although I'm sure some black spray paint could change that message ;)

I'd just to spray 'Don't' before any of those 3 words ;)

I've heard that we have technically been under martial law since the Civil War but I've never confirmed if this is true or not.
utukkuxul 2 years ago
I guess that could be argued by the fact that the government is so unconstitutional.
TheWiretap 2 years ago
Well the claim that I had heard was that martial law was declare during the Civil War but was never officially revoked.
utukkuxul 2 years ago
I dont really know anything about that tbh, but I wouldnt be surprised if it were true.
