What i dont get it why in the UK there is little to NO violence being claimed as being caused by video games. I think its to do with how the American Society works. It is depressing how many people are killed in Iraq everyday, US soldiers and Iraqi citizens/soldiers. If you didn't actually play the game (seeing as how you kinda imply that you only played the demo) any argument that you present (including commentary about the game's art direction and story) is completely wasted. You've likened yourself to Cooper Lawrence.
So, because I only played the demo and read about the story and understood that its just some little sick child whining about stupid shit I have no say in it. Besides the art was good, the graphics on the other hand were blocky, to bright and ugly to look at. Besides the demo gave me enough knowledge so I wouldn't have to waste money on the game, if the demo isn't worth the time that I play it, paying $60 on top of wasting more time on it I would assume would be stupid.
You lost the argument when you stated that you didn't play the full game. I didn't see any blocky-ness to the game, not in character modeling or environment (save for buildings, which are meant to be blocky). The colours are bright for a reason, which you would've discovered had you actually played the game, but you didn't. The game isn't about some sick child whining, it deals with the existentialist ideals of differentiation between dreams and reality.

What i dont get it why in the UK there is little to NO violence being claimed as being caused by video games. I think its to do with how the American Society works. Seriously if you see a book called 'Silly White Men' pick it up or rent it or whatever. Its fantastic and its from an Americans point of view on WHY America is the way it is. Its also a documentary movie thing you can rent and buy. Great documentary and is rather funny.

I beleive that violence within videogames, and other media is not the sole reason violence exists today. Violence has been around since the universe "boomed" into existance. It is depressing how many people are killed in Iraq everyday, US soldiers and Iraqi citizens/soldiers. Parenting is the main problem during these times, violence in the media only sparks the "powder keg"

So, because I only played the demo and read about the story and understood that its just some little sick child whining about stupid shit I have no say in it. Besides the art was good, the graphics on the other hand were blocky, to bright and ugly to look at. Besides the demo gave me enough knowledge so I wouldn't have to waste money on the game, if the demo isn't worth the time that I play it, paying $60 on top of wasting more time on it I would assume would be stupid.

You lost the argument when you stated that you didn't play the full game. I didn't see any blocky-ness to the game, not in character modeling or environment (save for buildings, which are meant to be blocky). The colours are bright for a reason, which you would've discovered had you actually played the game, but you didn't. The game isn't about some sick child whining, it deals with the existentialist ideals of differentiation between dreams and reality.

I gotta say man, I agree with most of what your saying, but I think were entering an era where parents are overly protective.Looking back, kids in America were given alot more freedom in the 70's-90's. I see kids today and it's like their on a leash, so I'd argue the "parents take more active role in kids lives" line, but other than that, really great job turning the blame on the media

The main plot gives me to this question: What did he planned to do once he only had ghosts? have a full unworthy town of people? it doesnt make any sense, any government knows you need people in order to continue your corruption.
For me any content that the game could have goes to shit with all the crappy-nothing passes-videos and again you can find a better story in any other game. And in the end the last boss ends up dealing 0 damage and dying in 2 turns, what a dissapointment.
