  • i test mine today on the dyno, my best run is 248whp @ 5924 with a K&N sri and a nismo catback

  • i dont think this is a manual tranny, sounds like a CVT

  • @crazyhinduguy you would be wrong in your assumption. they are holding it in either 3rd or 4th gear (don't recall, its been awhile) thats why you don't hear any shifts.

  • @importroller oh, i didnt pay attention that much, but it probably is a manual

  • im really curious to know, what is ur fuel economy in mpg or in l/100km.

  • @cstrikeplaya all depends on how I drive. On the highway, I average between 28-35mpg if I don't get on it. City is closer to 20-25 if I'm lucky

  • Not reak sure, it was a mobile dyno that was brought out to a race day over n my area but Im going to be taking the car performance shop (they mostly work on imports) and they have a few mustang dynos there. I thought I would have like a...23 percent loss in drivetrain but Im not to sure. I know its less than a standard auto tho. O well, Im not building the car for racing.

  • @Stevenhiggles the reason i asked, is because the CVT cannot be properly dynod. the transmission will not give you a steady reading in a 1:1 ratio, because it is always in that range and it's hard to hold the gears to get a proper reading. It sounds like all your tech may have done is just do a top end pull.

  • @importroller this may sound stupid but if you do multiple pulls and just compare the numbers you find and just find the average, wouldn't that give you a ball park figure at what you car can put down?

  • @importroller Ive seen altima with cvt being dynod. But 253whp is out of it ive seen 229whp but not 253whp. Nice number btw. 2007 plus 2.5 altima dyno at 150-155whp. Manual idk

  • @importroller I could have been sure that they stated in the video that this particular Altima being tested here has a 6-speed manual trans not a CVT.

  • @MoveFast319 the altima in this video is my 6spd. I could never own a CVT powertrain.

  • @importroller Aw dude, really?! I like the CVT, I just bought an 07 SE 3.5 and I find it really interesting how I can maintain the level of RPMs that I want while I accelerate. I'm having fun with it! Not to mention that it also has an auto shift feature that I can play around with too!

  • @MoveFast319 its not the same. 6spd all day. my style of driving will kill a cvt transmission. I prefer to have full control of what my car is doing, plus the 6spd is much faster and can handle what I'm about to do to the car.

  • @Stevenhiggles blaaaah new transmission suuuuuck. O well lol Im putting over 3k miles on it a month lol shifting would have broke my arm off.

  • I had mine altima on a dyno and I was shocked. I have a CVT (cause I couldnt find a manual......) but the percentage loss wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I got 253whp and I got a Takeda intake. Im bout to put on a custom borla system with racingline y pipe with straights to the mufflers with also a vibrant performance mass air flow sensor. I just need to find a bigger throttle body, then I gotta tune the bitch. WOOOOOOOOOO

  • @Stevenhiggles how did they dyno your CVT? that reading is not accurate.

  • what 261 i taught this thing was 270 stock?

  • @dammyousuck

270 is what they rate it at the flywheel. not to the wheels. this is 261hp to the wheels.

  • @importroller OHH oh shit never knew that, thanks import! xD

  • Hey Shawn, how've you been? Probably don't remember me, but I tagged along with the SE-R altima when everyone went to the Fontana speedway about a year back. Was hoping I would have seen you yesterday at the twilight track day. Was curious to see how my car would hang with yours. I ran a 14.5 @ 93 spinning to the 330... Couldn't hook for crap haha. Anyhow hopefully we can keep in touch for another possible drag event

  • @ninnyGTP Is this Joal? If so, i tried texting you the other day, but i didn't get a response. Maybe your number is different now.

  • @importroller

No, Joal is who I went with. I Was recordning some of the vids that day since I was still building my car. I actually don't have his new number either.

  • @ninnyGTP you were with the guy with the white Sentra SE-R too right? you guys were switching driving each time? Just trying to place who is who.

  • @importroller

Haha nope. I road in with Joal. You're thinking Robert and his cousin (?). He has the B16 SE-R Sentra. I drive a red Grand Prix GTP, but it was down when everyone went to the track so I just recorded vids and took pictures.

  • @ninnyGTP Now i remember. Yeah, i plan on going soon to fontana. search my vids and you will see our video from that day. I think its the main video on my profile page.

  • @importroller

Yeah i've seen it. I still have a few from when I recorded. Be pretty cool to run ya since Joal no longer has the SE-R, it's the closest I can get to see how much i've improved over the last few years

  • What size rims are those??? are they confortable to ride because of the low profile?

  • What type of wheels? and what size?

  • noob question... what is WAI?

  • warm air intake. you way also see this car with a SRI which is a Short Ram Intake. if it ever says CAI or Cold Air intake, don't believe it. There isn't anyway to fit a CAI on this car withought moving the battery to the trunk

  • thanks, well im glad i got me an 06 one lol, would u say fujita or injen intake? also as for exhaust...maganaflow or borla? im askin for everyone. THANKS

  • The intake will be a matter of personal choice. I know a few people with the Fujita and they love it. as for exhaust it depends on the sound you want. join nissanclub . com to research each one fully.

  • @importroller save your money on the intake and just do the free WAI upgrade. And Vias removal, After that you have more to spend on exhaust or whatever else you want.

  • @hercules71185 I already have 3 intakes for this car and part of my exhaust done. Or were you thinking to reply to someone else's post?

  • thanks for the tip

  • whats WAI also does this year come with projector headlights?

  • warm air intake, and no projectors for this model

  • 261 on a dynodynamics. Now if that wasn't set up to read like a dynojet, those are unbelievable numbers! Even if it was setup to read like a dynojet, those are very impressive to say the least!

  • It wasn't set up to read like a dynojet. I've have the car dynoed at multiple shops (even at K&N) and the car always put out numbers this high. They dynodynamics was setup with a load on it, so it wasn't just free spinning like on a dynojet

  • Those are great numbers, I am getting an 09 w/6sp. Beautiful blue car you have!

  • what's the size of ur tire?

  • 245 35zr20

  • thanks bro

  • are those avarus av5s?? if so im pickin those up for my alti tomorrow !! the black machined/chrome ones!! very beautiful wheels!

  • No, they are C-Squared C1 rims.

  • oh yes, those are nice!! the AV5s look almost alike just has buttons..

  • I hate the rivet look. I like how clean and smooth these rims are

  • You should add the two piece mesh grill on the front and lower bumper, car looks hot anyway though

  • wow!

  • any customizations?

  • only power mod at the time was the Fujita Intake

  • Comment removed

  • oh sorry dude i didnt know

  • for some reason last night, when i was posting my responses, they wouldnt save. so you guys couldnt read my response.

  • oh same here its youtubes fault oh by the way dude how did you change the stereo headunit

  • same as any other. remove the bolts holding it in, and use the wiring adapter and mounting kit

  • oh thanks we might get a system like yours for our altima

  • i think its a tint but im not sure

  • this is the 3rd time im gonna try to post this. But its bluebatmobile . net For some reason it wouldnt save my posts prior

  • rims are sick!! i love this car!! i have a 08 super black 3.5SE i hope to post a vid of it soon

  • The rims look sick! What size are they and who make's them?

  • is that JUST with the WAI or do you have other mods? im not sure of any others besides exhaust. or did you tune yours? I heard you can get a really good hp gain out of the stock e.c.u?

  • have you ever got stopped for tintin your head lights, cuz i know ur alowed to tint the taillights but my friend said u can get stopped for the front.

  • never. I i dont have mine dark enough to make it a problem with visibility

  • My friend has an Expedition and he got stopped in New Hampshire cuz his headlights are all blacked out so they made him get rid of the tint

  • ya, i live i miami. i just took them off just in case and i threw some after market lights that i got on ebay, they look sick as fuk.

  • I have a 07 3.5, dose any 1 know what the stock hp is? i wanna say its like 230 220 hp not sure but i wanna get it to around 300hp, my goal is 310 or so.

  • to the wheels? depends on if you are a Manual or CVT trans. Manuals dyno around 230-235whp stock. CVTs are harder to dyno, but they would be about 10-15hp less.

  • where exactly did you buy that car? imma go right away and get me one exactly like that.

  • Mossy Nissan. Took them 2 weeks to find a car that matched what I was looking for. Not too many M/T Altimas around with a 3.5 V6

  • IMA GET ONE LIKE THIS ITS FUCKEN DOWN

  • BAD ASS CAR

  • dude you gotta tell me where did you get those taillight covers from i've been looking all over the net for them and there is no hope so i would greatly appreciate it if you could share that info with ya boy!

  • bluebatmobile . net

  • Damn very impressive numbers!!! Its very nice to see what the new FWD VQ35 is capable of!! Dual power valves really make a difference!

  • After doing some research, turns out the new altimas have a detuned VQ35HR motor, which is why they were able to keep it listed as a VQ35DE. Shares almost all the same internals, but has a different compression ratio, and the ECU is detuned to keep the power down

  • Incorrect. Only the heads are the same. I've looked the part numbers throughout the longblock personally.

    Good numbers, though.

  • you maybe right, I know the bottom end has a few "subtle" differences giving it a higher compression ratio

  • I had this car for a month when it just came out... was fun as hell but FWD just doesn't cut it... RWD FTW!

  • i have FWD & RWD VQs. Cant go wrong

  • What do you have RWD? I have G35... I have had it for a year now and I am still blow away each time I drive it... SHOW UR LOVE FOR JAPAN CAR POWER

  • click on my Screenname. you'll see it. 04 g35C

  • The new Altima is one of the best ride i have ever owned but recently our local Taxi company purchased many of these cars,

soon they will be launched in dubai and i hate to see the altima in multiple advert colors.

  • hi man.. what rim zise r good for altima? what size r those rims? and what is a good tire brand for that?

  • 20 x 9.5 I cant say for tires, Only had one set on them so far

  • is that a midnight blue?

  • Majestic blue is the titled name. Nissan's version of Midnight blue

  • Renault helped Nissan most in VQ series but still it is Japan made. Besides that - Renault helped with design as well

  • does anyone know of any Nissan/Altima car clubs? Please hit me back if anyone has any information.

  • bad ass bro. I have the same 3.5 with the exact 20's! I love it. I put a 2 piece chrome mesh grill on, and a 37 piece wood grain kit on the inside. Your giving me some ideas with the tail lights. We both have a sick ride!!

  • Nice! My tails are differnt now though. Its not longer just blacked out. they are red with the smoked over the red, and the reverse light is clear

  • I love ur rims, their nice !!!

  • nice my mom has the same car 07 altima 3.5 she says if i graduat from high school shes gona give me that car and shes gonna get a infinity g35

  • Got both. Both are fun cars to have

  • great numbers! was you altima built in smyrna tn or canton ms.

i work on the altima/maxima line in smyrna tn.

I used to have an 05 altima 3.5se with some mods and loved it.

  • Is every Nissan since 2005 using French engines like the 350Z's?

  • What do you mean, the VQ series of engines are not french there Japanese you no like the car brand, and there made in Japan, not the whole car but the engine is.

  • I heard somewhere that the 350Z's VQ35DE was made in France, by Renault.

  • Pimpn Hard ..Did u modify to fit the 20's?

  • nope, perfect fit

  • what size tire did you go with

  • 245/35/zr20

  • nuff respect to u gansta, i jus bought a 2008 nissan maxima, comin from a 2004 maxima, and i honestly am in love with the cvt, a good driver would know how to harness the power of the vq, oh yeah, and trust me, use shell v-power93 unleaded gas for your atima and 10/40 castro gtx motor oil and you will get close to your SAE standards

  • thats a badass looking altima

  • NIce ride, btw, what percent of tint is that on your back lights?

  • its not tint, its vinyl. and its a 6/10 lightinght. which means 40% of light shines through

  • WOW 261 at the wheels! VQ power baby, what are your mods besides WAI and i thought those altima's were rated at like 270hp lol

  • mods are listed in video. The 270HP rating is by the new SAE standards. By the old, its about 290Bhp

  • Great numbers man! Not trying to start with you or anything but...The 280 HP (Non Rev) G35 is now rated at 275 HP & the 298 HP (Revup) G35 is now rated at 293 HP. The latest 306 HP version would have been rated at 315 HP they said. The most I've seen it drop is 12 HP with the new ratings but, most applications are only 5 HP depending on the make & model. Generally, the higher the HP the more it will drop with the new ratings... Again, depending on the MFR of the car. Take care man.
