Wow. It had spectacular flavor, and I didn't even salt it on the plate! (I always taste first, and salt only if it "needs something") The fatty part of the bacon made for a rich broth that was purely wicked. I was proud that my potatoes didn't turn into soup (I watched it especially closely because you warned about that). The beer was the mystery ingredient that had everyone guessing. This is a good recipe and I will fix it again, especially in this cold weather. It's comfort food! Thank you!
I actually make this on every camping trip, but when i plate it up i drizzle olive oil on top with a squezze of lemon juice with thin slices of Parmessan cheese yummmoooo lol
