I think that in 1994 when this org was founded it was a lot more hard to look up and google other orgs. So maybe you should stop hating and enjoy the awesomeness!
WOW!!! that was an amazing show! i love this org. you girls don't make other girls feel inferior to you, you accept them for who they are and don't try to change them.
I agree, I mean its true orgs have better things to focus on then just hand signs, and colors, and names. Its great that they do community service, a lot of Latino sororites do that, it is what they are based on. However there is still no originality anymore, a lot of orgs have to many similarities. In this particular one has the name and sign of another.
in general, orgs should worry less about colors, hand signs, and letters and more about their philanthropy, which should theorhetically be the basis of their existance. this sorority does amazing things in the community and is a catalyst in promoting higher ed for Latino youth. but if they supposedly look bad for similarities to other orgs than it's a shame that so much emphasis is being placed on things like that...

Actually I have never heard of this sorority, till this year. But I have noticed the similarity they have with other orgs OLDER than them. It is great that they do a lot of community service and make others aware of their philanthropy. In the end Greek life is also about giving back and props to them. However I believe that it is still ignorant to have the same letters and handsign as another org. It shows the lack of research the founders had when creating this sorority.
This soror is regional based out of CO so that may have a lot to do with why you have never heard of them. They certainly do not go unknown within the state being extremely active in all aspects. Currently, people are able to research whatever they wish simply by googling a few words-making research extremely simple and accessible. Is not ignorant, there's a limit to the signs you can do by the way because of the limited alphabet. I still don't know what do you mean my ignorant because that word doesn't even make sense. Options are limited and I think that MY SORORITY is quite original, we are the finest ladies of them all, WE ARE THE GOLDEN CHIS! GO PLC!
You know what? You may not care that much because they're NOT using a piece of YOUR organization. Out of ALL the colors, hand signs and names they could've used, they picked and chose a little bit of everybody and "started" their own org.
Come on give me a break. I think if you want to set yourself aside from other orgs then BE ORIGINAL. Come up with something new, don't pick and choose things from other's orgs then call it "new".
