  • Man, I have such great memories of UT. I was in the class of '71. I didn't belong to the band but took choir and other music classes under Mr. Donald Dyer. What a wonderful music instructor he was. He really loved and knew music. I joined the Army in later '71 and went to Panama for a year and a half. Good experience also. Landed in Texas, then in California where I have lived since. I miss the Quad Cities. My heart will always be there. Michael Bryant.

  • Gosh..I wish i was playing the flute in that band. Its really good. Im in Symphonic Band at UT but its not what I expected it to be.Great Performance!

  • trust me, he is very into what he does, I guess you just have to be in the band to know how he feels, but he is very well known throught the midwest and surrounding areas.

  • Well played.

  • This is awesome! I'm an '03 graduate and still a band geek! I played trombone, but I only got into concert band; I wasn't good enough for symphonic, lol.

  • i LOVED that song.

    and that band.

    me on the t-sax.

  • I love playing this piece! We're doing in in concert festival coming up in march. I'm excited.

  • the national concert band festibal(BOA)?

  • The chorale section is too fast, but besides that, it was an excellent performance. The group's strength is balanced evenly through the sections, making the band overall very good.

  • Tempo is a little fast in the intro, is it not? Just a tad too short to hear the chords resonate...

    Good playing, regardless.

  • Wow, that was pretty good! We are playing this piece this year for Concert Festival.

Just wondering, but does this school happen to be located in East Moline, Illinois?

  • yes

  • Cool! My mom graduated from this school in '77. Most of my family still lives in the Quad Cities.

  • yep.

  • I still a have the first page memorized from when my honour band played it
