Because this audio is from a long time ago, this needs a little perspective. Nine! was produced in 1974(!) as a radio inside joke. They were making fun of consulted radio, because consultants focused more on improving the sound of the station instead of learning about the people listening to it. Amazingly, radio is STILL like this.
While it sounds wacky and maybe even a little underproduced considering the ease of today's digital editing, Nine! was an engineering marvel for that time period.
