  • SO amazing! Tosin goes Eric Johnson style!

  • @ 2:12 "I don't know how i'm gonna do this.... Oh yeah, I'm Tosin Abasi"

  • I like this guy Tosin hell of a player my friend showed it to me :D

  • 0:43 some nice sounding cymbals

  • thats all to the ear baby !

  • I'm gonna see Tosin and I can't fucking wait......

  • unbelievable....

  • Tosin's "yes... i am mint" grin :')

  • my brain just dribbled out of my eyeball a little...

  • That drummer is an animal keeping up with those signatures

  • @suckemgood its stupid how good everyone in that band it

  • @suckemgood funny pun? he was the drummer for animosity, the last cd they released was entitled "animal" =p

  • @misterjingles666 hahaha, completely unintended!

  • the other guitarist looks like the guy from american pickersO.o

  • Tim Tebow's athiest twin on drums

  • 2:10 fucking super saiyajin lvl god

  • Javier is great but the impressive part is the the unique writing which i feel is more tosin.

  • @MoiraeStuff

All 3 of the men onstage shared the writing for this one, which is why Weightless sounds so different compared to AAL; you can feel Javier and Navene's influence almost more than Tosin's at some points.

He is a fantastic guitar player.

  • Javier Reyes is the best!

  • @UberTroll13 I believe the word "nigger" is politically incorrect stupid motherfucker.

  • @UberTroll13 that´s a pick you dumbass

  • what a stupid looking guitar lol.

  • YEAHH BABY I saw this shit LIVE...tesseract was alright, i liked that style though with vocals, just the bass player was a fag, im tellin youu.. Tosin shreds and makes an 8-string sound the best one has ever sounded..and BTBAM..well you all just need to type in " BTBAM best solos" for a small taste of some stuff better than those oldies

  • @HiPPoKryPtiC I saw Tesseract too, their bass player was into the music, nothing wrong with that and it doesn't make you homosexual. you must be 12...

  • Can't believe I missed them this year. Fuck!!!!

  • @unoffended I FUCKING KNOWWWWWWW!!!!! *uncontrollable sobbing* i did too

  • Fuck this band is good

  • Where is the bass?

  • @Fapsamup on the 8th string lol

  • @Fapsamup No bass. They kick that much ass.

  • Can't believe they're supporting Meshuggah!! got my ticket!

  • @tic0tac1 Where is this happening??!! Hory Sheet!

  • @Cerbera2022 UK tour of the O2 academy venues! Not sure where else they're playing in the world but Google will sort you out!

Cannot wait! Bristol's my local one! :)

  • Oh my god 2:04 to 2:34 was absolutely amazing

Not saying everything else wasn't amazing, but just..wow

  • @MrMuddyBleach ... Even Tosin himself thought, "how am I able to play this?"

  • that is amazing

  • jemi hendrix reincarnated.

  • Our new guitar god has finally arrived.

  • My favourite Black Metal band

  • @haz677 hahaha

  • Animals As Leaders, Cynic and The HAARP machine should go on tour. Obviously Cynic headlining.

  • he swallows the pick at 2:11 !

  • This is what i like to see at a show, no punching each other in the face, just synced up head bobbing.

  • I actually think this band will step it to another fucking level if they hire Evan Brewer or CannibalisticZombie or some other crazy bassist!

  • Javier has some mad skills to follow Tosin's playing! People should recognize him more!

  • @DrEviscerator666 He's a great guy. Really does know his music.

  • @DrEviscerator666 Other way around... Javier knows more than tosin. Why else would tosin hire him?

  • @Jamsessionroom1337

Errm, you're basically saying that Zappa chose his touring buddies because he thought they were more talented than him. When somebody goes looking for a writing buddy or somebody who can play their material they aren't specifically searching for people better than them, that's one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Zappa actually did look for musicians that were extremely talented. He was holding auditions for a drummer, and all he did was throw one of the hardest drums pieces ever written at those who tried out. Whoever played it best got the part.

  • @Fluffypopcicle Zappa actually choose musicians specifically for their musical ability. Holding a drum audition, he just threw one of the hardest drum compositions ever written at the people auditioning. The guy who played it best got the part.

  • @TinyKurds

I know that, he was extremely picky about who he chose. Anybody who has heard Steve Vai talk about him auditioning for Frank Zappa knows that. The thing is, he didn't go looking for musicians better than himself for the sake of improving himself. He rather chose the best musicians he could find to make sure he could play what he wanted to live since his parts required extreme technical talent.

  • @DrEviscerator666 Dont forget Navene, he is a great drummer. If you watch him, you really see how good he is. Tosin wouldn't want any bad musicians in his band.

  • @DrEviscerator666 Yeah for real. I'd love to hear Javier play some leads. It doesn't have to be on the scale Tosin does it, but I'd love to hear what he can do.

  • @DrEviscerator666 noone ever gives a fuck about the rhythm player

  • @bayonetworkx9 haha "rhythm" player.

  • @bayonetworkx9 I do because I am a drummer and depend on the groove!!! All of the parts in AAL are so independent due to the odd times, but all of those guys know where the 1 is. I can't focus one one musician because all of these guys are integral to the sound. BRILLIANT!!!!

  • @danglesify that leads to our next question...who gives a fuck about you? hahahah kidding...but seriously...since he associated himself with tosin, he will always live in his shadow...shame, i know

  • @danglesify tell me something i dont know, no one care if your a drummer either

  • @DrEviscerator666 I agree, rhythmn guitar is an artform. Javier does a great job!

  • damn i got both top comments....i feel....damn..

  • @Detriment46 i rub ur mom tits 4 free haha

  • and they are in hamburg bitch baaaam \m/ ;)

  • I would love to hear this playing at a starbucks. lol

  • In spite of AAL be an awesme band i still miss the bass :(

  • @Flyordie92 Who needs bass when you have 2 8 strings. haha

  • rule no. 1 : never compare artists !

  • 2:15 - "Awwww fuck yeaa!"

  • i cant stop listening to this band, its like a drug

  • I can see that he has the mouth movements of all great guitarists

  • like meshuggah but less machine and more fluid

  • How is this even playeble?

  • this is what dragon force wish they were

  • 2:11 Yes, this pleases Tosin!

  • tosin Abasi anf Jeff loomis are my favorite guitarists

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 I actually like Animals As Leaders, learn to take a joke dude no need to cry.

  • 2:08 the pick disappears O.O!

  • @reaper2ooX He ate it!

  • Bit out of tune at the start.

  • beginnings groovy

  • dafuck? this is the most technical metal can get... if this can be called metal, this is almost jazz with hi gain added...

  • @fusor010 The Dilinger Escape Plan is still more technical than this (especially for a drummer)

  • @sirile99

I sincerely hope that's a joke. The guitarist in DEP can't hold a candle to Tosin, musically or technically.

  • Every time he taps, I think the pick is his tongue.

  • At 3:40 the drummer looks around as if he's like "hope no one thinks that's actually me playing this synth part."

  • @FrettingCajarot that's not synth in that part, they're both tapping that note, and the same goes for the intro

  • BTBAM isn't that good...

  • Watch out Slash N Steve Vai, cause Tosin Abasi is coming for the 2 of Ya!!!! :D

  • @xXVIkoryxIVXx Hes already miles ahead of those dudes.

  • @Eliastingstrm ...You are damn right about that!!!! :D

  • Djent nigguh!

  • @scottpetuoguu This music transcends boundaries above your minuscule perspective in the pseudo misinformed notion of your above rendered slop of a entry you have tried to contrive as an actual thought.

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 an entry

  • @94hourstilAHIG Irrelevant.

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 so it's as if his notion appears misinformed, but isn't actually?

if you're going to use "intellectual" adjectives to try to insult someones post, at least take out the ambiguities of the sentence structure

  • @XnepoX Here's what i contrived from that superfluous assumption.

Analytically trying to make a quasi-point of unwarranted means. While trying to pass some sort of relevance, to contradict or retort my remarks of absolute arcane meaning.

Either from the readers own vanity of superficial means, or just an utter sense of satisfaction to rebuke something that has little pertinency to one's own living conditions.

  • @Jamsessionroom1337 I guess you've never really been far even as decided to use go want to do look more like

  • technically awesome, sonically the quality of this recording is tough to listen to. The amount of notes being played is amazing The drummer matched them note for note I would love to hear a professional recording of this or better see them live in a small venue. Thanks for posting it

  • this video has pretty good quality! animals are completely insane! fuck yeah

  • Eddie Van Halen learned how to tap from Tosin Abasi.

  • such a small kit for such a beast.

  • @memarmoo I guess somtimes less is more. But im not drummer.

  • @SandwichesPorkchop I just meant by his facial expressions. Otherwise, you're right, he doesn't miss a beat. His technical ability is inspiring and discouraging at the same time.

  • at 1:20 hes talkin to himself! how do play like and STILL be able to TALK to yourself!?!?!

  • @bronconoah you can see he's actually mouthing the sound of the notes. that's called jamming, my friend.

  • @HideousKneeGrows huh...never thought about it like that...i LIKE it:D

  • 2:11 Tosin charges his powers.

  • I may be crazy, and it's just a suggestion, but does he start to struggle a little around the 2:00 mark? This dude loves music.

  • how can bang and play 24 notes per second at the same time?

  • dual guitar intro, so creative

  • what happened to that "2:11 he leveled up" comment that shit was funny

  • 2:12 I make the same face when taking a long piss.

  • why is that buff guy who cover through the eyes of the dead on every videos related videos?

  • @Detriment46 YouTube got scared that if he didn't get views he'd beat the frick out of them

  • @thetruthjg nah, it's David Lee

  • My guitar is up on ebay now if anyone is interested.

  • The new album flows so much nicer than the last. Really digging it.

  • tool, dream theater, and btbam! are you crazy! some of the best talent out there.

  • he is siick for sure....but i wouldnt go that far Buddhastalin Hahahah

    really Good player though

  • @EvilCracky I'm like the biggest megadeth fan ever and, this isn't as catchy as tornado of souls but I don't think Dave Mustaine could play that :P tbh JUdas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Dream Theater, Nile, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Between The Buried and Me, Tool, etc wouldn't be able to play this

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 might wanna rethink the btbam and tool section of that comment.

  • @njo823x As a personal friend of Adam Jones I know that he could never play that :P and Between The Buried in me could never write it but I think Paul might be able to play it

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 And AAL could never write what BTBAM plays. That´s why they are different bands.

  • @Frontdoor777 they don't care to. That's why they are different bands.

  • @94hourstilAHIG That´s basically the same I meant to say.

  • @njo823x Tool Definitely, actually A Perfect Circle would play it better.

  • @TheLongLakeRockstar

Lol... you must be a new fan.

  • @Whitestuffco HAHA! Great Guess but just so you know my comment was towards the comparison of Tool and APC not APC and AAS.

  • @njo823x

Wtf? Tool? Tool can get pretty technical, but they aren't anywhere remotely near Tosin's level. They're more rhythmically advanced than anything and even then, there a bajillion bands these days that blow Tool out of the water in terms of rhythmic complexity.

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 a few of those artists could probably play this...but playing and writing are two whole different things

  • @acepowner

Indeed. Writing takes much more than what is seen here.

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 You are clearly full of shit... Tool's guitarist is classically trained, but, I bet you didn't know that did you? John Petrucci could play this, but then again, once you tell a lie so many times, you yourself start to believe it. Hah, it's funny to see kids saying they "know" certain band's members personally to back up their claims. What are you going to reply with now? Something like this: UMADBRO? Ignorant trash.

  • @Blaine465 1 Tool's guitarist was a violinist, and a bass player, and an art major, I know because my mother went to highschool and college with him I've met him a few times and he's a pretty cool dude, but he could not play this in fact many classical guitar players couldn't play this, John Petrucci, is one of my favs but I would be lying if I said he wasn't a little overrated when it comes to technique he could possibly play this but never compose it as for the kid accusation yes

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 Cool story bro :D

  • @ukeleleboy97 thanks man :P btw uke is badass

  • @Blaine465 I'm fifteen years old, and since I was 3 music has been my life from the talking heads to AAL, to Nile, to cannibal corpse I love music, I'm not claiming to know more then you but I will claim to be more mature then you because I've taken your childish insult like a champion and you started menstruating the minute I say something that doesn't agree with your precious opinion, you make music lovers in general look both like snobs and retards

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 All things someone could easily google. You still prove my point;

you are a clever liar, I'll give you that. Grammar is a bit off, but, I can live with that.

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 Also, you don't have to make up intricate lies to back up your opinions; it's quite pathetic really...

  • @Blaine465 hey man you don't have to believe me it's a free country, well where I live it is, I'm just saying there is no need to whine when somebody disagrees with what you're saying

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 Hah, you are defeated. My job here is done. You have no further intelligent responses to gather, so, you basically give up and say I'm whining. I may be a whiner. but at least I'm not a liar! Haha lol

  • add metal to the list of things black people can do better than white people

  • @buddhastalin uhh no

  • What the hell is Tosin playing, that guitar looks amazing.

  • @Mechagnomics Strandberg

  • how many albums they got? i heard they got a new one. is it true?

  • @xLuCiFeRz Two albums. This one is off of the new album 'weightless'.

  • isolated incidjents

  • My Cracka'pwning

  • Like a heavier Planet X ya know?

  • I love their more relaxed stuff. but when he sweeps and does really fast sweeps it just becomes boring.

  • @hojima Incorrect

  • Seeing them tomorrow with BTBAM

Guitar duel between Tosin and Waggoner? O_O Would be the most epic event ever

  • @h3nRiQu3J It wouldn't even be a contest, but it would be awesome. Tosin would win at least 80% of the time.

That tour is amazing by the way, I caught it when it came to Boston. Get there early, and stay late.

  • I literally can't even understand how Tosin can do that and still manage to look away from his guitar or even bob his head

  • @MontyAlcott cause he has skillz.

  • Tosins pick looks like it is his tounge at 2:05 and forward haha

  • the drummer is obviously Tim Tebow

  • the camera can't handle the rock.

  • See I love these guys and all, but every time I listen to Them, I keep clogging up My earphones with dried-up seminal fluid, so I have to get new ones, and in total, that costs way more than getting their next album, so I'm afraid I'll have to pass.

  • Is Tosin using a Steinberger? I've never seen that before.

  • @cortx2lh Its a Strandberg, not a Steinberger. Both are headless guitars, but Steinberger has never released an 8 string, and I doubt they ever will as they're owned by Gibson right now.

  • @cortx2lh its made by a company called strandburg

  • why do i even play guitar anymore

  • @reaper2ooX to get this good.

  • @reaper2ooX haha i know, right?

  • If you don't know that blue necklace is the source of his guitar skills.
