@joshtpricey Thanks for the feedback. We're buliding a cable cam today with the aim of filming some proper footage with it tomorrow. I'll post up the results.
superb video; can't believe my sister has lived in Bacup for about 3 years and I only found out about this place a year ago (not much of a forum troll or mag reader)! Back up this way at end of Feb, def bringing bike again!!
The helmet is a GIRO XEN in the white camo from 2009
I'm 6ft 1. I bought the 18 first but found it far too short so opted for the 20, if you're 6ft 4 then i would totally recommend the 20inch. I do however know of lenty of people my height who have bought the 18 and loved it.
@eurospek1 The helmet is a Giro Xen in the white camo from 2009. A great 'All-mountain helmet'
I'm 6ft 1 and I originally bought the 18 as described on the ragley website. I found it too small and the guys at Evans in Deansgate who helped build it up were of the same opinion so I swapped it for a 20inch which is a much better sze. If you're 6ft 4 then I would only recommend the 20inch. I hope that helps.
Fabulous footage. Excellently planned out and edited. Top banana! Lee Quarry is such a great place for MTB'ers - something for everyone - dude made it look easy though! Well done and please post more MTB footage of this quality. Makes you wanna Rock and Ride eh chaps?
Top top video. Music and camera work is great and that Hope Pro II hub ? compliments the sound very well (ha ha). Absolutely love chasing my brother round this place on his gorgeous custom built Ragley Blue Pig also with a pro II.
sweet vid this is excellent, the angles you use the way you edited the footage together, the slowmo's... what camera do you use, and what software do you use for editing.. also pc or mac,,, i'm in the process of getting a new computer for vid editing and don't know weather to get a pc or a mac,,,, please please get some more bike vids up if this one is to by then we in for a treat. pleae keep up your excellent work..
Thanks @MrDelcol Drifnately plan on creating a few more biking videos.
I'm a big fan of Macs so that's what I use with Final Cut Pro editing software. I recently bought myself a new DSLR camera to test out the filming capabilities and I'm very impressed. It's lightweight and records in HD. I chose the Panasonic Lumix GH1 and I look forward to using it again.
I really love this video! I ride at Lee Quarry a lot and this film really shows it off well. Did you use a little bit of track for the tracking shots? It really adds fantastic production values. Looking forward to seeing more!
@wilkenhoffen Chuffed you like it and all the positive comments.
I used a glidetrack to film the tracking shots which is just a portable track that can be attached to your tripod. I'm please with the results although it did get a little dusty.
Lee Quarry is in Bacup just north of Manchester and very near Halifax. There's lots of development happening there at the moment. Great place to ride.

What kind of helmet is that? I like it.
BTW, is that a 20" mmmBop frame? How tall are you? I'm 6'4" and debating on 18" or 20".
