  • 2:26 Wow!

  • It's a very awkward moment when Barry is tackled.

  • I dont care about CJ2k. I care about BS2K.

  • I feel priviledged just to have seen him play.

  • stop showing the number 1 we get it

  • 1:44 I can't get no love, Barry? LOL

  • barry's the best

  • John Randle hahah he's great

  • bo jackson is hilarious

  • Barry Sanders on the Lions nowadays=automatic Superbowl.......guaranteed

  • @espnemail555 barry on any other team back then = 10 superbowls in a row

  • Without a doubt the most entertaining back in nfl history.

  • He's a receiver in Nfl Blitz in the original NFL BLITZ for the ps1. I was playing it on my psp. Everyones a receiver in NFL BLITZ, I don't think there's a runningback in that game for whatever dumb reason that is. I never see my opponents use a runningback and I don't know how to run other than running with your own quarterback in that game. NFL BLITZ is not like real football at all.

  • you cant do that in nfl 12

  • I dont care what anyone says about it, you have to respect someone who was able to walk away from all of that because of their personal believes.

  • Barry averaged about 1500 yards a season and would've broken Walter Paytons record in his 11th year if he stayed on his average. It took Walter Payton 13 years to set the record and it took Emmit Smith 13 years to break the record. Barry was the best back to ever play the game of football and there hasn't been another RB with his ability.

  • Then Montee Ball was born...

  • @FuckLebron1000 Really??? foreals dog???

  • @FuckLebron1000 Not downing Montee, but no one will ever compare to Barry.

  • Yes he is a proven winner, but Barry was the better of the two!

  • Emmit Smith had the ever oline,he had Aikman & Irvin,he played a long time, blah, blah, blah. Smith doesnt need to respect from a bunch of youtube posters,he already has it.Multiple awards, owner of every major rushing statistics, big time playoff performer,3 time SB winner,HOF,all time leading rusher & oh dancing with the stars champ. A proven winner.

  • the best running back of all time, hands down

  • shuduve cuduves, what ifs, wtf what was he supposed to do......love this guy, i'm drunk.

  • IN the 90's, if BARRY SANDERS has EMMITT SMITH's front line in DALLAS...He wouldve ran for 2,000 yrs earlier...and often in his career.....

  • @SIKE01 I'm a deveoted Cowboys fan...and I've often dreamed of what it would have been like if we had had Sanders behind that line instead of Emmitt. Emmitt was great...but he had that line: A line you could drive a truck through. Sanders would have set records that would never be broken.

  • @nelson1111 a cow could run for more then 1,000 yrds a game with the o-line emmitt had

  • @SIKE01 I AGREE WITH YOU

  • There used to be some kind of a documentary about Barry, lenght about 1 hour. Anyone know where I can watch this, ot get it etc?

  • @TheTVHOMER If I remeber correctly, it was also from NFl network/or NFL films or so

  • How the hell do you get 14 consecutive 100yd games on a team like the Detroit Lions???

It didn't matter who your team was, you would just sit back and enjoy the highlight show that was Barry Sanders!

  • whats the song that starts @ 2:21?

  • My top four all-time RBs includes Walter Payton, Jim Brown, Barry Sanders and Gale Sayers. In a must-win game I'd take anyone of those guys, but would probably lean towards Payton. For my money, I would take Emmitt over Eric Dickerson, Tony Dorsett, Adrian Peterson, OJ Simpson, John Riggins, LaDanian Tomlinson, Franco Harris and just about anyone else. I think I'd have to put Earl Campbell at no. 5. He was a wrecking ball with speed.

  • And no one can deny that Emmitt played behind one of the three greatest O-lines in NFL history (90s Cowboys, late 80s-90s Redskins, 70s Raiders). But no one can predict how many yards Barry would've gotten behind Dallas All-Pro line. Sanders got a lot of yardage eluding guys behind the line, cutting back and breaking into the open field. That also led to a lot of negative yardage running plays. He also did not have the luxury of a HOF QB and WR on his team.

  • I've been a Cowboys fan for over 40 years. Emmitt was great, one of the best of all time and probably better than Barry all-around (receiving, picking up the blitz, pounding for 2 yds on 3rd and 1), but Barry is the better runner. When it comes to sheer excitement, it's Barry and Gale Sayers. Even Sayers, as great as he was, did not have the repetoire of moves Sanders had. Emmitt was stronger, Barry was faster (sub 4.4) than Emmitt (4.55).

  • @3:35 damn thats some sick shit

  • I wonder if Sanders figured that 1999 would've been a really hard season for him. He had his worst yards/carry season in 1998, and as we all know, RB's in their 30's age in dog years.

Nonetheless, I respect his decision. Being a RB for 10 years means living in pain for a decade, and then for the rest of your life. He was a great one to watch.

  • how in the world do you prepare for a game knowing Barry Sanders was the RB. i could imagine how some of the meeting went

  • Barry Sanders is a modern ninja.

  • The most negative yards in NFL history and still averaged 5.0 yds a carry over ten years. My jeebus...

  • Walter Payton #1

    Barry Sanders #2

    Jim Brown #3

  • @Blaker2013 looks up here in youtube were theres an interview with walton Payton about the best runnig back of all time and even he agreed Barry Sanders was the best.

  • @updisho Thats because he was humble, of course he wouldn't put the title of "Best running back" on himself that would make him an arrogant prick, I hold a record at my high school for most tackles in a single season, but I don't think of myself as the best tackler that my school has ever seen. The majority of people who are unbiased agree that Walter was the best all around running back. Im in no way trying to put down Barry he is one of the greatest backs in history!

  • LOOOOOL "

    The Lords Prayer"

  • If I was going to perform my first crime in history and rob a bank and had the choice between having a getaway car or Barry Sanders to entrust the stolen money to in order to getaway I AM NOT EVEN JOKING..I would rely upon Barry Sanders...This is a once in a century running back. He would be out LIKE HAMMER PANTS.

  • I am so thankful to have grown up in the Detroit area to have seen Barry play @ the Silver Dome more then a dozen times! Probably the loudest crowds also the best come backs brought on by Barry Sanders at the silver dome...

  • best back EVER...

  • @trea1010 think about that again

  • @JACKALOW4LIFE then who is?

  • His son is just as good as him, but he's only a junior in high school. When he gets to college and we'll see how he does. Now if he goes out there and is a great runner like his dad in college, then he'll be great in the NFL.

  • @redmustang03 hes a senior

  • @redmustang03 his son is not just as good as him

  • Can you imagine Barry on this current lions team? With Stafford throwing to Calvin and dishing it off to Barry? Like the guy near the end of the video said "when we watch nfl films, and we see the great runs of all time, most of them are Barry Sanders."

  • i love how he doesn't celebrate like EVERY STUPID NFL PLAYER DOES TODAY

  • @guitarsANDcars39 wtf is wrong with celebrating? it makes the game more fun

  • @kbotpop You celebrate when you win! not scoring a TD when ur down by 21 points

  • @guitarsANDcars39 i dnt mind if they celebrate after scorin a td or gettin a crucial int but its pathetic how they get all excited after stopiin a guy after he gained like 20 yards on u just coz u hit him hard doesnt mean u gotta celebrate tht

  • @guitarsANDcars39 cuz he scores so much

  • Gridiron players are too cocky these days, just like some in the football. He hits another player and then starts jumping up and down. Gridiron used to be a good game long time ago, but not know. People should at least give a chance to Rugby more here in USA and stop the brainwashing imposed by media which just kills the game with their beer commercials. P.S. Gridiron should be played no pads.

  • @mvm90 We would give a chance to Rugby more here in USA, but most of us are too busy still trying to make sense of Cricket.

  • lmao #75 from Dallas

  • there will never be another back as good as barry. ill bet my pay check on it.

  • I'm a Dallas fan, and I admit Barry Sanders was better than Emmitt. I would've traded him for Barry with our O-Line anyday. That doesn't take anything away from Emmitt though. I still believe he's one of the greatest of all time.

  • Barry Sanders is the definition of a team player.

  • if only Barry was born ten years later and on the current detroit lions. Easily getting 200+ yards a game.

  • Not only the most elusive, but more importantly the Best Runningback of all time, truly a class act.

  • Humble guy too.He just gave the ball back to ref after TD.No showing off. This was the REAL NFL.NFL desinged game in recent years to make RBs less valuable

  • Great cutbacks.

  • imagine barry on the detroit lions team today with Megatron and stafford and that defense with suh.

    HOLY SHIT!!!Im cummingggg arrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhh!!

  • I have to admit Barry was the most elusive back in history. Too many moves for a single tackler to deal with. I'm a HUGE Bears/Walter Payton fan and still have to give it up for Barry! He just needed a team around him to give him a championship. Not his fault, he did more than you could ask of one man. RESPECT for Barry!

  • People dont understand that when they talk about barry sanders trying to make something out of nothing with negative runs, he still averaged 5 ypc FOR HIS CAREER-THATS RIDICULOUS

  • Leshawn McCoy is the new barry sanders

  • @momohjaved786 i gotta agree hes the ONLY runner whos style is the EXACT same style Barry had. And Mccoy has 20 touchdowns hes the shit

  • @momohjaved786 There will NEVER be another Barry. No offense to Lesean.

  • @momohjaved786 theres never going to be another barry sanders, he’s the michael jordan of running backs

  • The good ol' days, when players stayed with their teams for the entire carreers, despite never having the chapionship teamates. Applies to football, basketball, and any other pro sports today. Too many carpetbaggers

  • @P27Barreta you mean like lebron james?, if the team trades them thats different but if the player willingly leaves thats what makes them trash

  • They practised for Barry using chickens, LMAO.

  • @Kylepersonal well yea, its either you practice trying to keep up with the guy or u let him run right by you, he is the best for a reason they needed a new practice method thats how amazing barry was

  • barry was awesome, but c'mon. he says the record wasnt enough reason to keep playing???? it sounds like the perfect reason to keep playing!!! we must question his heart

  • @IRONJOEPAWLOWSKI you play only for glory? well thats terrible, he played for the love of the game thats true heart, he never cared about the stupid fucking record, he played because he wanted to, not because he wanted glory, and thats y everyone in all sports plays now glory and money its pathetic, i play because i love the sport not because i wanna try to make it to the nfl

  • To me, saying Emmett Smith is better than Barry is like saying Pete Rose is better than Ty Cobb because he played 93 years to get enough hits. Same with Smith, not to mention the O-line difference, we won't go there.

  • @mike3571 Emmitt had Larry Allen yes, but he made the other guys look good because he actually HIT the holes...lol

  • @dawhiteguy622 Emmitt also had 4 other pro bowl offensive lineman......... Just saying.......

  • @rorank ok so when Tomlinson broke EMMITTS td record he had 3 probowl linemen, a pro bowl te and a pro bowl fb...guess that means he was overrated running for 1815 yards and scoring 31 tds then right?

  • @dawhiteguy622 Tomlinson isn't in the conversation, but now that you mention him, he didn't have a Wideout playmaker or a semi reliable QB. He also had over 400 attempts. He isn't overrated because people don't say "He's the greatest HB to ever grace the field!"

  • @dawhiteguy622

    "Emmitt had Larry Allen yes"

You forgot to mention Mark Stepnoski, Erik Williams, Mark Tuinei & Nate Newton.

You know, All-Pro players who made up arguably THE greatest O-line EVER.

"he made the other guys look good because he actually HIT the holes"

Yes, because there were actually holes to hit on every running play.

Plus, you had these 2 other guys named Aikman and Irvin who forced teams to take the safety over the top. They're in the HOF, btw.

  • @QBDogKiller Funny you mention that because Dallas had Aikman, Irvin, Moose, Tuinei, Newton, and Gogan in 89 and went 1-15 the year before they drafted EMmitt. Ontop of that Aikman had the easiest job on the planet....all he did was hand the ball off then use playaction. Dallas relied on Emmitt....EVERY SB they won Emmitt was the NFLs leading rusher and scorer. Emmitt also had two rings, an MVP, and 3 rushing titles before Allen. Barry has better highlights, but Emmitt is the better back.

  • @dawhiteguy622 emmittsmith was not a better back than sanders seen as how sanders clearly shattered records whereas emmitt played longer than sanders and still had 5 yards per carry with a average line wheres smith was on a star studded team and only had 4.5 yards per carry dude get the hell out

  • @dawhiteguy622 even before allen dallas was one of the best teams in the NFL dude. they had so many playmakers and players that were underrated its not funny dude the Smith and Sanders discussion isnt up for debate man

  • @seanman70 Funny, you realize taht the Lions BEAT dallas in the 91 playoffs by 21+?

  • @dawhiteguy622

"Funny you mention that because Dallas had Aikman, Irvin, Moose, Tuinei, Newton, and Gogan in 89 and went 1-15 the year before they drafted EMmitt."

Yes, it had nothing to do with the fact that Aikman was a rookie QB and the Cowboys were in a COMPLETE rebuilding mode under Jimmy Johnson.

Emmitt won them 3 super bowls....not a top-5 defense, HOF QB/WR and arguably the greatest O-line EVER.

It was all Emmitt...thanks for clearing that up.

  • If you watch my grandma run it's similar to Barry Sanders.

  • If you watch me run it's similar to Barry Sanders.

  • If you watch lesean mccoy run, it's similar to barry sanders

  • Barry Sanders Is An ACL's Worst Nightmare...

  • SHADY MCCOY

  • It's cool to know that Barry Sanders lived in the same place you live Wichita, KS

  • who is the guy named at @1.01 i can never understand what the name is and am alway entrigged!

  • @TheAwkardBalloon Baryshnikov (sp?) is generally considered to be one of the greatest ballet dancers of all time.

  • Barry made 14 people say the lords prayer.

  • Comment removed

  • If anyone can vouch for me i think THE PERSON IN THE NFL TO WHOS STYLE OF RUNNING IS SIMILAR TO SANDERS IS THE PERSON WHOS LEADING THE LEAGUE OF RUSHING= LESEAN MCCOY!!!! IM NOT AN EAGLES FAN BUT MY BRO TOLD ME TO WATCH HIS HIGHLIGHTS AND HE RUNS JUST LIKE BARRY SANDERS. HE CAN FREEZE YOU CHANGE DIRECTTIONS LOOK HIM UP

  • That poor Patriot defencder at 4:14...he had ZERO chance, then got spun around like a top...and STILL couldn't find Barry. That's my favorite Barry Sanders clip of all time.

  • dick butkis got juked out

  • NUMBER 75 AT 2:02. JUST LOOK AT THAT DUDE. HE IS THE MOST CONFUSED MAN IN THE WORLD. GOD DAMN BARRY!!!!

  • The lions should have released him he gave them nearly a decade he deserved a super bowl ring

  • Walter "Sweetness" Payton #1

  • @QRF11B #3 :)

  • @QRF11B Barry Sanders #1. #2 Jim Brown #3 Walter Payton. Don't ever forget it son.

  • @Gmoneymozart no Emmit in the top 3???

  • Comment removed

  • @QRF11B Next time you make an argument for a person spell there name right FAULK and second have you ever watch sanders play? Look at all his runs and tell me how many times someone comes at him blocked. And are you not listening to what anyone is saying out of all the greats, sanders had the WORST line and he averages more yards per carry then anyone except Jim brown despite all those lost yardage you idiot. And what does a superbowl have to do with being great -__- takes a team bro not one guy

  • @wtfitsbrian Next time you make an argument against another player have to curtesy to capitalize the first letter of the first and last name, e.g., [s]anders, Jim [b]rown. And by the way [superbowl] is not one word. It's spelled Super Bowl. Yea, I can play editor too.

If it takes a team and not one guy then why do you place such a premium on individual performance? And another thing, I'm not your "son," or your "bro."

  • @QRF11B "place such a premium on individual performance" We're talking about the G.O.A.T -__- Is this not a status of how you individually perform?Individual performance should have nothing to do with a Super Bowl because that is a team performance. Its funny you bring up Super Bowls and you failed to realize that this sport is the ultimate team sport and you CAN'T win on your own. And how about watching the guy play to determine whose better cause i doubt you've watched him and compare.

  • @wtfitsbrian "Individual performance should have nothing to do with a Super Bowl because that is a team performance." What "should" be and what is are two separate issues. The fact of the matter is that individual performance is what separates great teams from good teams. Emmitt Smith, Drew Brees, Payton Manning, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, etc., were, or are great individual players that are part of team. Without great individuals you're not going to win anything.

  • @wtfitsbrian Furthermore, is it your contention that the 1985 Chicago Bears would have been as successful and made it to the Super Bowl without Walter Payton? Do you think the Bears would have had a 15-1 regular season if, say, Johnny Hector?

You're correct that this is a team game. But, great players play on great teams and inspire everyone around them. Barry had the personality of a shoehorn and couldn't lead a gaggle of ducks across the street.

  • @QRF11B "Without great individuals you're not going to win anything."You've proven my point trying to argue against me, great individual "S". True the bears don't go 15-1 they go 13-3 and still win the Super Bowl because they had great individual"S" on that defense. No disrespect to Payton hes one of the best, but put Sanders on that 85 Bears team they go 16-0. And to be honest you still haven't gave me a legitimate argument why hes not the G.O.A.T.

  • @wtfitsbrian How can I be proving your point when you haven't even made one? On hand you say football is all about the team and on the other you say Barry Sanders is the GOAT? Your point is moot. Who cares if XYZ player is considered the GOAT because the purpose of playing football is to win the game; to win a championship. Operating under your logic Erwin Rommel could be the greatest general in history, despite the fact that his army retreated from Africa and Germany lost the war.

  • @QRF11B A Super Bowl is a team award being considers the best running back ever is a individual award. The point that you made why he isn't the best is because he didn't win a Super Bowl. My point was it takes a team. And in your last comment which ill re quote for you since you are a little slow right now ""Without great individuals you're not going to win anything" there see what you said? individual"S" not one guy. So like a said before championships should not determine whose better

  • Walter was a better all-around player than Barry as well. Walter was significantly better than Barry at blocking and receiving. Walter also threw for 331 yards, which is the the most for any non-quarterback since 1970; in 1983 Walter even threw 3 TD passes.

You and other Barry fanboys make an issue of Barry's paltry Lions, but did you know that Walter first 9 seasons with the Bears they were 9 under 500? Look at the stats of Walter's first 9 seasons and compare them with Barry's. Walter #1

  • @QRF11B I'll give you this Walter was a more complete back then Barry but just look at film, the tape doesn't lie.How many times have you seen a guy come clean through the line at Barry? Barry was just as good at receiving as Walter but not as good blocker or passer. But honestly i would rather have my RB catching or running the ball then throwing. And don't bring up stats your lucky i didn't bring that up in my argument because Barry s stats are superior to Walter but i was letting that go.

  • Actually, I think Walter was more impressive, but you're entitled to your opinion. What Barry would've done with a better line is nothing but theory and conjecture. It wouldn't have mattered anyway because Barry never would have followed the line anyway.

Yes, look at the stats--Walter Payton was more effective. Walter never quit either, you can't say that about Barry can you?

  • @QRF11B How in the world is Barry a quitter cause he only played 10 seasons? He retired because he lost the love for the game plain and simple. If you calling Barry a quitter then your basically calling Jim Brown one to and are you sure you want to go there?

Barry average 100ypg and 5per carry throughout his career despite the fact he ran for negative yardage the only other back to do that was Jim Brown.Barry 15,269yds 99tds 10yrs. Walter 16,726yd 110tds 13yrs Go look at the stats again.

  • That's the thing, Walter never "lost"anything. Walter had more heart, more yards, more TDs, more years in the game and was considerably more versatile. "Sweetness" made his team mates better and was pivotal in the Bears success (which didn't come until late in his career). Barry didn't have the moxie to persevere through the bad seasons. Barry couldn't, or wouldn't take a leadership role. After the game he just took his check and went home.

  • @QRF11B Walter never had to endure playing in Detroit. Barry did it for 10 years.

  • Detroit did suck, really bad, and I won't argue otherwise. But we must also remember that for the first 9 seasons of Walter's pro career the Bears were 9 games below 500. Hardly a bastion of exemplary performance.

  • @QRF11B "It wouldn't have mattered anyway because Barry never would have followed the line anyway" Ridiculous comment. If you watch any tape of him in college you know this isn't true. When his line was on par with teams and had holes to run through he hit them hard and was a north/south runner. But it's impossible to be a north/south runner when guys are meeting you in the backfield as soon as you get the ball.

  • College? What about little league? How did he run then?

  • @QRF11B so you stop playing a sport because u lost your love/retire thats quitting well then i guess everyone in every sport is a quitter to, yay walter threw the ball, who cares? barry played on a team where he was the team, throwing the ball? yea i want a hb throwing the ball, and the o-line, well there wasnt 1, put barry on a better team he would do even better but walter on the lions and see how amazing he really is

  • @QRF11B Im talking about pure film you put on that tape and watch both these guys play and see the amazing things these backs were able to do and tell me who was better. But keep this in mind while watching the film say you didn't know anything about either one of these guys, absolutely nothing. Watch the tape see how they play and then you'll see what i mean. Ima kid i didn't grow up watching these guys but seeing both for the first time in my life a few years ago i thought Barry was the best.

  • @QRF11B And if they did Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino. So now tell me again why isn't Sanders the best running back. Lets see if you actually answer my question this time please.

One more other thing Erwin Rommel really Mr.College Professor?

  • I didn't know I was here to field your questions? But since you asked politely I'll answer your inquiry. Barry Sanders is not the best running back of all time because has more negative yards than any running back in history. Barry didn't have the stats, skills or the heart of Walter Payton, who rushed for 275 yards against the Vikings with the flu and a 102 degree fever. "Give me the heart of Walter Payton. There's never been a greater heart."--Jim Brown

  • @QRF11B . "Barry had the personality of a shoehorn and couldn't lead a gaggle of ducks across the street."

    Its called leading by example.

  • @wtfitsbrian It's called being aloof, and selfish.

  • @QRF11B so leading by example is nothing, do you want barry to teach a class on how to play football? selfish is doing everything by your self even tho your team could help, barry was the TEAM the lions, worst nfl team in history put anyone on that, emmitt, walter, brown, ANYONE and they would never even be in the top 50 hb’s, barry is the G.O.A.T on a team that couldnt play if their lives depended on it (and they did)

  • @MrMasonx742 Your argument concerning Payton, Emmitt and Jim Brown is loaded with hyperbole and conjecture. To even insinuate that the aforementioned players wouldn't be top 50 is just ridiculous, and borderline blasphemous. Name one credible football player or historian who agrees with your asinine statement.

You should also be advised that for the first 9 seasons of Walter's career the Bears were 9 games below 500.

  • @QRF11B if payton, emmitt, brown played on the lions they would never be mentioned again in nfl, barry did more with nothing then emmitt did with arguably the greatest o-line in nfl history, barry played 10 years payton played 14 emmitt played 16 and barry was still closer then anyone with the least amount of years with the WORST nfl team in history, but barry on the cowboys instead of emmitt and his record would be untouchable,

  • @MrMasonx742 Your argument is given to hyperbole and conjecture. You have an opinion on what you think might have transpired if xyz were on another team, but opinions are like assholes, i.e., everyone has one and they all stink.

Walter was a more complete player who could throw, run and block. You also must remember that this is a team game and what one individual man did is irrelevant and goes against the spirit of the game. Sanders was damn good, but not as complete as Payton.

  • @QRF11B true he wasnt as complete as payton but its the detroit lions, they never had a team so he was the guy not much else they can do about that

  • @MrMasonx742 Barry Sanders was an incredible running back and it would've been nice to see how he would've done with a real team. Either way, he's still one of the best.

  • @QRF11B thats why i get mad when they say barry wasnt amazing, the lions were not a team back then, barry’s amazing i love him he’s my #1 fav player all time, and when people talk down about him i get mad because i wasnt his fault that the lions were the worst team in nfl history payton was great 1 of the best but when it comes to personal opinon im a barry sanders guy,

  • @MrMasonx742 Barry was definitely amazing. The Lions were absolutely atrocious and it's a real shame because had the Lions possessed even an iota of talent they would've had a Superbowl, or two.

  • @QRF11B yea i no its a piss off that they never had a team

  • pause at 3:43 now thats a great pic

  • 1:58-2:04 <--OWNED....Top 3 of the most awesome running plays ever.Count for yourself.Initially, without exaggeration,10 guys have a clean look & close angle to tackle him & he makes them look like cabbage patch kids. After he gets done with those10 guys, slightly upfield,on the same run, cowboys player #75 swivels his head hopelessly as a spectator because his body can't even react to barry's moves because he's that good!?!?!,then he makes #51 flounder/flop while still 4 or 5 feet away!?!,lol..SICK

  • @1tavern1 that play was also in the playoffs when the Lions BEAT the Cowboys, this play was with about 2 mins left with the Lions up by 21+....so it came in garbage time. Barry NEVER performed in the playoffs, with the exception of this one run he had 90 carries for 340 yards and no touchdowns over six playoff games....that is just SAD!

  • best pure runner eva PERIOD.

  • Payton #1, Sanders #2

  • as a packer fan, it was upsetting to learn that the packers could've drafted sanders. but instead they went with that juiced up pussy tony mandarich.

  • @heyimJoeK Consider that if they did better over the next few years with Sanders, the 1st round pick they gave up for Favre may not have been enough, and they may never have traded for him.

  • Amazing

  • @e219321195 wait a fucking second, barry is not the best, Walter Payton is the best, He had no line also, but Walter Payton got the record in HALF the years Barry could, Emmit doesn't deserve the record, neither does Barry, Walter Payton does!

  • @ps3glpjunior No, he did not get that record in half the years. Payton played from 75-87. That's thirteen years versus Sanders' ten. Don't speak outright lies or try to diminish just how great Sanders was.

  • @ps3glpjunior payton played 13 years -__- you cant do math right because barry played 10 the same as your age, barry was less then 1500 yards with less years, so payton got that record in 5 years? wow he must be a superhuman 2 run just over 500 yards every game

  • THE ONLY THE ONLY RUNNING BACK I WOULD PAY TO WATCH THE ONLY PLAYER I'D PAY TO WATCH!

  • Just a low key player for so many years. He played because of his passion for the game of football. Not for the record or the money. He retired and moved on because his passion was no longer exists. Unlike todays many players, only for the money. Fastastic human being.

  • @madkisser915 exactly thats why i have such respect for this guy, the last true player to play for the love of the game

  • Best Runninbacks ever

    1.Jim Brown

    2.Barry Sanders

    3.Walter Payton

screw Emmitt Smith and I'm a Florida fan.

  • Jahvid Best reminds me of Sanders at times just for the way he can stop on a dime and then accelerate in a split second.

  • If you notice in all the clips, by the time Barry got the football the defense is already in the backfield.

  • I would say Gale Sayers is the number one elusive runner - Sayers lifetime punt return 'average' is over 30 yds - that is insane - and the definition of elusive running. Barry would be 2.

  • @upperslobodia You are fucking RETARDED! Barry Sanders is without a doubt the MOST elusive RB ever. It's subjective if Barry is the best RB ever.

  • The reason Barry Sanders did not win a title with the Lions was they did not have a great QB or a O-Line around him.

  • Oil jerseys and a great O-Line made Emmit. This guy busted his ass Every week with NO O-LINE OR TEAM for that matter.

  • Sucks he never got a super bowl :(

  • O-linmen at 2:03: "Where the fuck did he go?"

  • @tiatrips

Totally agree. Smith isn't even in top 5 rbs ever. He was on a great team w a great line, quarterback , and recievers. Sanders , Ledanian , Payton , brown, OJ were all better.
