Actually the Spartans are not his. They were their from the beginning, and they are controlled by the AI.

So NO, he never had any units defending any of the cargo ships.

And if you believe that the Spartans are all that he needs, then would that not defeat the point of this mission? Since he could just sit back, do nothing, and wait for the time to run out.

This is a stategy game u put no effort into stategy u put all your units on one target and u havnt even upgraded your base so u wouldnt have to worry about covanent attacking it if u had turrets

I love placing very advanced foot soliders on those crane things and even tanks can't get past and the main force at the ships/base (thanks for the advice TheCritique666) had very little resistance, other than the bansees :) peace

Basically your wasting a lot of time by moving around. What you should do is have a stationary force next to both cargo ships and your base to defend it (you'll have to continually create units to make up for ones that get killed, but at least you'll always have a force on stand-by in case the covenant attack). They have a fast moving unit go around and protect the civilians. Halo Wars is a real-time strategy game, so please try to use some strategy when playing.

You're not even playing on the harder difficulty settings and you lost a cargo ship. Protecting the cargo ships is the primary objective. Of course you managed to win, but just barely. When your suppose to protect something that means you keep units near it so that when something attacks you can quickly defeat the enemy. What you're doing is getting a huge army and randomly moving around the map. Also chasing after the covenant dropships isn't necessary yet you send your entire force to do that.

i think you should send like a medium groups to stall the enemy and protect the dropships, and a main hunting group, strategy games involve controling many groups in organized methods, and also your units are supposed to die once in a while :P, objectives are more important

there seems to be a common theme here, you leave your base undefended and it gets attacked so you send ALL of your men to save it, then you see civilians being massacred cause your men are all at your base and you go to save them, then you see a covenant flyer and chase it halfway across the map til the cargo-ship is half dead, THEN you try to save the cargo-ship and FAIL then your base goes under attack...heres an idea...DONT HAVE ALL OF YOUR UNITS SELECTED! leave some for freakin defence!

Adam is a bonus. You go to a part of the map and open doors (it will tell you to). A wimpy kid named Adam will come out and start running for the nearest ship. You have to guard him until he gets to the ship. Be careful, though. If Adam is shot just once, he dies and you cant get the achievement. If you successfully guard him and he gets on the ship, you get the Real Winner achievement.

The best way that there would seem to be to handle this would be to post a hornet and hog with infantry at each transport, then to have a third group, called rape squad, which moves to guard civilians, your base, and transports when necessary. But every halo wars player I've seen like to have one big group do everything.

I left for like a couple seconds to go back to build some more units and then I heard them saying something rushed back over to that side of the map and there was like one sliver of health left and then it blew up. Apparently my units were a couple millimeters out of range of shooting the god damn banshees. Wow, an RTS like Dawn of War or Warcraft III.. your units would have easily been able to attack.

The thing I hate is I was less than a minute away from winning when the last cargo ship blew up. The stupid thing was I had 5 hornets, a hand full of marines and plenty of warthogs right next to the ship and I was wondering how the hell did it blow up if I was guarding it completely.
